Method for manufacturing integrated sheet
A method for manufacturing an integrated sheet of a MEGA and a resin frame, capable of curing a UV curable adhesive in a short time by suppressing an inhibition of curing of the UV curable adhesive and thereby providing excellent productivity is provided. A manufacturing method for an integrated sheet in which a resin frame is bonded to a MEGA, includes preparing a laminate in which a gas diffusion layer is laminated on at least one surface of a MEA, applying a coating of an UV curable adhesive to the laminate; placing a resin frame on the UV curable adhesive and applying a pressure to the frame, and irradiating the UV curable adhesive with ultraviolet rays, in which the irradiating includes a first irradiation step, and a second irradiation step in which ultraviolet rays are applied with irradiation intensity higher than irradiation intensity in the first irradiation step.
METHODS OF SEALING OF MULTILAYER, MONOLITHIC LAYER AND COMPOSITES OF ETFE AND ITS ALTERNATIVES FOR ROOFING APPLICATIONS
A heat and/or UV/LED activated single or double-sided tape is configured to seal multiple sheets of single or multilayer composite film with the film including an outer fluoropolymer layer. A repair kit includes a single-sided and/or double-sided heat and UV/LED activated adhesive tape, portable surface treater, and portable heat/UV/LED generating device. The single-sided and/or double-sided heat and UV/LED activated adhesive tape is useful in the manufacturing of architectural applications and in repair of architectural applications.
Edge trim for pieces of furniture
An edge trim for pieces of furniture, including a meltable layer, is described. The molecular structure of the meltable layer contains both polar and non-polar parts. By way of a non-limiting example, an edge trim for pieces of furniture having an exposed edge of wooden or wood substitute material is described, comprising a molten layer and a structural layer, wherein the structural layer and the molten layer are connected in an adhesive bond, wherein the molten layer is made of a material that is chemically modified such that polar and non-polar components are found in a single molecular structure, wherein the molten layer contains energy absorbing additives, wherein the energy absorbing additives of the molten layer are selected from the group consisting of metal oxides, metal phosphates, metal salts of organic anions and combinations thereof.
Glued arrangement
A glued arrangement, preferably for a motor vehicle, is disclosed. The glued arrangement includes a first component, a second component, and at least one adhesive layer for connecting the two components. The adhesive layer includes a central zone and an edge zone that surrounds the central zone where, in the hardened state, the adhesive in the edge zone has a higher elasticity than the adhesive in the central zone.
Strengthened seam articles and methods of making the same
Articles having mechanically strengthened seams (320) and methods of making the same are provided. An article includes at least one material sheet (311) and a seam (320) formed from an overlap of two portions (310, 314) of the at least one material sheet (311) and an adhesive (312) deposited between the two portions (310, 314) of the at least one material sheet (311) along at least a portion of the overlap, the adhesive (312) sealing the two portions (310, 314) of the at least one material sheet (311), wherein at least one of the two portions (310, 314) of the material sheet (311) comprises a plurality of indents (322) on a surface thereof, such that the adhesive (312) penetrates the material sheet (311) at the indents (322) to provide a mechanical bond between the two portions (310, 314) of the at least one material sheet (311).
LOCALIZED PANEL STIFFENER
A device (10) comprising a carrier material (14) and a matrix material (12) deposited onto the carrier material in a pattern that leaves a predetermined amount of space (18) between each deposition of matrix material.
DYNAMIC BALANCING OF ADDITIVELY MANUFACTURED IMPELLERS
A method of manufacturing an impeller for a thermal management device includes partially curing a curable liquid in a curable liquid bath to form a first stage rotor, removing the first stage rotor from the curable liquid bath, the first stage rotor having excess curable liquid on a surface thereof, rotating the first stage rotor to displace the excess curable liquid radially outward from a rotational axis to compensate for imbalances in the first stage rotor, and fully curing the first stage rotor and at least a portion of the excess curable liquid to produce a second stage rotor that is more rotationally balanced than the first stage rotor.
Device, in particular for closing a top portion of a food container, consisting of a laminate with a peeled and folded-back edge region
A device comprising a first fixing element, a further fixing element, and a folded planar composite is disclosed. The first fixing element comprises a first fixing surface and the further fixing element comprises a further fixing surface. The folded planar composite is at least partially fixed between the first fixing surface and the further fixing surface. The folded planar composite comprises a first composite region and a further composite region.
Fluid connecting system and cryoprobe with same
The fluid connecting system comprises a connecting piece (16) that consists of a single injection-molded part of plastic material, said part accommodating a coaxial first fluid conveying arrangement (15), as well as an also coaxial second fluid conveying arrangement (17) and providing several adhesive reservoirs that allow a pressure-resistant gluing of the two fluid conveying arrangements (15, 17) to each other by a reliable safe process.
Shrink wrap labels for shaped articles
Methods for applying high shrink wrap labels to a shaped article are disclosed. The leading edge of the label is bonded to the article. A seaming agent is applied, and the label is wrapped around the article. The seaming agent is then exposed to radiation to cure the seaming agent, and the label is then exposed to heat to cause heat-shrinking. The label is made of a film with at least one external layer that has a Hildebrand solubility parameter. The seaming agent includes a component having a Hildebrand solubility parameter that is within 2.2 MPa.sup.1/2 or within 4.4 calories.sup.1/2.Math.cm.sup.3/2 of the Hildebrand solubility parameter of the external layer of the film.
