METHODS FOR THERMAL WELDING OF WIND TURBINE BLADES
Disclosed herein are methods, devices, and systems for manufacturing wind turbine blades which in some instances require using new blade joint designs. The blade joint designs described herein may allow for contact in places where welds will be made, which allows for existing manufacturing tolerances to be used while still enabling the use of thermal welding for wind turbine blades.
Autoclave and method for welding thermoplastic composite parts
An autoclave for welding thermoplastic composite parts comprises a sealed process chamber, a pressure source, a microwave source and a workpiece supporting member configured to support at least two thermoplastic composite parts which contact each other in an abutting section within the process chamber. The pressure source is configured to generate positive pressure in the process chamber which is higher than an ambient pressure surrounding the process chamber while the microwave source emits microwaves towards the abutting section in order to locally melt the thermoplastic composite parts and weld them together in the region of the abutting section.
Adhesive and structure, and adhesion method
Provided is an adhesive that can provide quick bonding between thermoplastic resins and excellent bond strength, a structure having adhesion provided by the adhesive, and an adhesion method using the adhesive. The adhesive bonds a first member (11) containing a thermoplastic resin or a carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin and a second member (12) containing the thermoplastic resin or the carbon fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin. The adhesive includes a thermoplastic resin as a main component containing a metal nano material that absorbs electromagnetic waves and generates heat.
Method for welding two polyamide plastics
The present invention relates to a method for welding two polyamide plastics using a primer, the primer containing at least one polymer synthesized from at least one maleic anhydride or maleic anhydride derivative. The invention also relates to correspondingly welded products.
Method for welding a polyolefin plastic and a plastic based on a polymer containing carbonyl groups
Disclosed is a method for welding a polyolefin plastic and a plastic based on at least one polymer containing carbonyl groups, using a primer which contains, in relation to the proportion of polymer, at least 20 wt. % of a polymer that comprises maleic anhydride or maleic anhydride derivative units. Also disclosed are correspondingly welded products.
HIGH-FREQUENCY DIELECTRIC HEATING ADHESIVE SHEET, AND ADHESION METHOD IN WHICH SAME IS USED
A high-frequency dielectric heating adhesive sheet requires no releasable sheet, exhibiting excellent handleability and workability to an adherend even when a size of the high-frequency dielectric heating adhesive sheet is large, and an adhesion method of the high-frequency dielectric heating adhesive sheet. The high-frequency dielectric heating adhesive sheet includes a sheet-shaped base material and a high-frequency dielectric adhesive layer containing a thermoplastic resin as a component A and a dielectric filler as a component B.
ADDITIVELY MANUFACTURED OBJECTS WITH PRE-FORMED BONDING FEATURES AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
The present disclosure describes a three-dimensional object. The three-dimensional object includes a light polymerized body, at least one internal chamber residing within the light polymerized body, the at least one internal chamber having at least one frangible wall, and a curable component contained within the at least one internal chamber. The three-dimensional object may further include at least one channel extending inwardly from an outer surface of the light polymerized body toward the internal chamber and at least a portion of the at least one channel being adjacent to the at least one frangible wall of the at least one internal chamber. Methods of bonding an insertable object to a three-dimensional object and kits are also described.
Unit for the regulation or control of a fluid pressure
A unit (10) for the regulation or control of a fluid pressure, having at least one housing section (13, 14) and a switching film (22) connected to the at least one housing section (13, 14) for switching at pressure differentials relative to an ambient pressure acting on the switching film (22), and for the regulation, release or blocking of a flow of the fluid between an inlet (28) and a discharge (30) for the fluid. The switching film (22) is made out of a polymer material having fluorine and carbon, in particular a thermoplastic having fluorine and carbon. In this arrangement, a hole cross-section (40) of the at least one housing section (13, 14) is closed off by the switching film (22).
REARVIEW ASSEMBLY HOUSING WITH RADIO FREQUENCY ACTIVATED BOND
A method of making a rearview assembly includes operably coupling a rearview device with a front housing. A bonding material is applied to the front housing and a printed circuit board is operably coupled with the front housing. A rear housing is engaged with the front housing. Energy is applied to bond the front housing with the rear housing.
INSTANT PRE-FIXATION OF ADHESIVE BONDED INSERT PARTS WHICH IS PREFERABLY MADE OF PLASTIC WITH THE HELP OF CHEMICAL SCREWS
An assembly comprising a substrate 1, a substrate 2 and heat curable adhesive, which is positioned between the substrates 1 and 2, wherein the heat curable adhesive is cured only in a portion of less than 50% of the entire surface covered by the heat curable adhesive. In this manner, the cured parts of the adhesive serve as chemical screws which sufficiently fix the substrates together during further processing steps, but do not involve complete curing of the adhesive.
