AUTOMATED GARMENT MANUFACTURING USING ADHESIVE BONDING

A system for automated manufacturing of apparel that includes a fabric dispenser operable to dispense a first web of fabric and a second web of fabric, the first web of fabric forming a front of an apparel and the second web of fabric forming a back of the apparel. The system includes an adhesive dispenser configured to apply discrete non-contiguous adhesive masses to the first web of fabric. The system includes one or more presses operable to join the first web and the second web along the side seams and shoulder seams of the apparel. The system further includes a cutting tool operable to make partial cuts to the first web of fabric along lines corresponding to a neck hole, bottom hem, and arm holes of the apparel located on the first web of fabric, the cutting tool further configured to cut the apparel out of a joined first web and second web of fabric by cutting along the side seams of the first web of fabric and the second web of fabric and cutting the bottom hem, the neck hole, and the arm holes on the second web of fabric.

IV membrane attachment systems and methods

An intravenous delivery system may have a liquid source containing a liquid, tubing, and an anti-run-dry membrane positioned such that the liquid, flowing form the liquid source to the tubing, passes through the anti-run-dry membrane. The anti-run-dry membrane may be positioned within an exterior wall of a drip unit, and may be secured to a seat of the exterior wall by an attachment component. The attachment component may have various forms, such as a secondary exterior wall that cooperates with the exterior wall to define a drip chamber, a washer positioned such that the anti-run-dry membrane is between the washer and the seat, and an adhesive ring formed of a pressure sensitive adhesive and secured to the anti-run-dry membrane and the seat via compression. Interference features may protrude inward from the exterior wall or outward from the anti-run-dry membrane to help keep the anti-run-dry membrane in place.

Manual container sealer and methods

A self-aligning, pivotally engaging container sealing device is provided. The device comprises a base, a sealing head including an upper die member pivotally mounted relative to the base, and a lower die member supported by the base for free pivotal and vertical movement relative thereto. The lower die member is biased generally upwardly by a spring or other biasing mechanism, while permitted to tilt substantially freely about a generally horizontal axis. The device may be manually actuated by pivotally lowering the sealing head to operatively engage the die members. Initial contact by the descending upper die member on a part of the lower die member impels the lower die member to tilt into parallel alignment with the upper die member, before any significant force from the biasing member is transmitted through the lower die member to the upper die member to clamp and form a seal between a container flange and container cover located between the upper and lower die members.

GLASS REPAIR KIT AND METHOD
20190001630 · 2019-01-03 ·

A portable glass repair kit system and method, more particularly, for windshield repair for laminated glass and the like to provide an easy to use, highly portable, and economical glass repair kit. The glass repair kit does not require specialized equipment such as an injector, plugger device, suction cups, or require any additional tools or specialized knowledge of how to use the repair kit. The glass repair kit contains a resin which may be urged by a user through slight pressure after the glass repair kit is adhered over an impact point and any cracks thereby repairing a windshield in a more cost effective, time efficient, and user friendly way.

METHODS OF HANDLING ADHESIVE LAMINATE PATCHES

Methods of handling adhesive laminate patches. A first article, passed over a first supporting structure, includes disconnected adhesive laminate patches adhered to a first web, each patch being aligned over and adhered to a tab. A second web can be passed over a second supporting structure that is separated from the first supporting structure by a gap. The first article can be passed over the first supporting structure to lift a leading portion of a first tab and a first patch off of the first web together, such that the first tab facilitates transfer of the first patch across the gap. The first patch can then be adhered to the second web; and the second web can be advanced to transfer the first patch, and first tab, onto the second web to form a second article comprising patches aligned over tabs on the second web.

INJECTION MOLDED ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF JOINING INJECTION MOLDED PARTS

An assembly of joined injection molded parts and a method for joining injection molded parts is disclosed herein. The assembly includes, but is not limited to, a first injection molded part having a first bonding area. The first bonding area has a plurality of first fingers extending from a surface of the first bonding area. The assembly further includes a second injection molded part having a second bonding area. The second bonding area corresponds in shape to the first bonding area and has a plurality of second fingers that extend from a surface of the second bonding area. The assembly includes an adhesive tape arranged between the plurality of first fingers and the plurality of second fingers. The adhesive tape is configured to bond the first injection molded part to the second injection molded part.

PROCESS FOR COATING A PREFORMED SUBSTRATE

A waterproof invisible barrier seam is formed between two fabric laminates, an outer shell fabric laminate and an inner lining fabric laminate. The seam includes an invisible seam tape that forms a hydrostatic barrier within the seam. The design of the seam allows the formation of an effective hydrostatic barrier along the seams of a soft shell garment, while retaining flexibility, stretch, aesthetic appearance, and reversibility.

ADHESIVE SHEET JOINING METHOD AND ADHESIVE SHEET JOINING APPARATUS

A die coater 10 as a coating member directly applies an adhesive resin G to a joining portion of a workpiece W by a predetermined width while a holding table 1 holding the workpiece W placed thereon moves. A reinforcing substrate T supplied from an original master roll is joined to the resin G applied to the workpiece W while being pressed by a joining roller 15, and the reinforcing substrate T is cut by a predetermined length. That is, an adhesive sheet is directly formed on the workpiece W.
