Manufacturing method of assembly
In a manufacturing method of an assembly, the assembly including a metal part and a pipe, the pipe including a material containing a resin, an adhesive is first adhered to an outer circumferential surface of the pipe and a metal part covering at least a portion of an outer circumferential surface of the pipe. Here, an area to which the adhesive is adhered on the outer circumferential surface of the pipe is defined as an adhesion area. Next, by a heat source provided inside the pipe, a target area is heated without interposing the metal part. The target area is located radially interior to the adhesion area and located on an inner circumferential surface of the pipe.
Heating Clamp for Airship Construction
An apparatus for an airship, including: a spacer ring adapted to couple to a joint opening of a joint, the spacer ring having multiple internal protruding portions adapted to form a gap between the spacer ring and a connector inserted into the joint; an injecting clamp adapted to clamp around a first portion of the spacer ring, the injecting clamp having an injecting hole for receiving an adhesive and an outlet for injecting the adhesive to fill a space formed between the joint and a portion of the connector inserted into the joint; and a heating clamp adapted to clamp around a portion of the joint that surrounds the portion of the connector inserted into the joint, the heating clamp including a heat source adapted to heat the adhesive in the space formed between the joint and the portion of the connector during a curing process.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR AN ANALYTE SENSOR
A method includes assembling a sensor subassembly that includes a sensor, a sensor mount, a collar, a sharp, and a sensor cap. The method includes loading a sensor in a sensor mount; dispensing adhesive into a mount channel of the sensor mount; clamping a collar to the sensor mount; and curing the adhesive to fix the collar to the sensor mount. The method can also include inserting a sharp into the sensor mount over the sensor an attaching a sensor cap to the sensor and sensor sharp to provide a sealed sensor subassembly. Methods of assembling an on-body sensor puck assembly and an applicator assembly, and a sensor including a tail, a flag, and a neck that interconnects the tail and the flag and methods of configuring a sensor are also disclosed.
Assembly of an outlet guide vane for an aircraft turbomachine using an inflatable bladder
A method of assembling a member and a cap of a vane using a tool which allows the application of a pressing force of the cap against the member during a step of polymerisation by heating a resin for bonding these components. To this end, the tool includes an inflatable bladder and a pocket which surrounds the bladder and the vane so that the inflated bladder applies the pressing force. The heating can be carried out by resistors which are mounted in the bladder and/or using a device for supplying external heat.
Projectile Penetration Resistance Assemblies
Unidirectional transparent projectile penetration resistant panel assemblies and bidirectional opaque projectile penetration resistant assemblies and systems and methods of forming and mounting the same relative to underlying support structures.
Method and device for producing a 3-D substrate coated with a laminate
A forming tool is used, which has a tool trough arranged in a stationary manner and a pressure bell, which can be lowered onto and lifted away from the tool trough. An arrangement is created in which a single- or multi-layer, initially flat, flexible laminate separates the trough interior from the pressure-bell interior in a pressure tight manner. A table, on which the 3-D substrate to be coated is located, assumes a lowered position within the trough interior; there is a considerable, free intermediate space (between the laminate and the 3-D substrate. A radiant-heater assembly is inserted into said intermediate space. The radiant-heater assembly has a carrier, on the top side of which radiant heaters that can be activated are attached and on the bottom side of which radiant heaters that can be activated are attached.
Determining material composition of cookware in induction heating systems
Induction cooktops and operational methods are provided herein. A method of determining material composition of cookware on an induction cooktop can include determining that a piece of cookware is on the induction cooktop, inducing a current within the piece of cookware with an induction coil of the induction cooktop, and obtaining a peak induction coil current, a smoothed input line current, and a phase shift of current flowing in the induction coil. The method can further include comparing the peak induction coil current, the smoothed input line current, and the phase shift each to a set of predetermined ranges, and determining candidate material compositions for the cookware based on the comparing of each of the peak induction coil current, the smoothed input line current, and the phase shift.
SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR GLUING FABRIC
A method and system applying glue to a fabric to create a bonded seam by applying a carrier liquid to a predetermined area of a first piece of fabric and in a pre-determined pattern; applying uniformly, to the first piece of fabric, particles of a powdered elastomer such that the particles of the powdered elastomer adhere to the applied carrier liquid; removing excess particles of the powdered elastomer, the excess particles of the powdered elastomer being particles of the powdered elastomer not adhering to the applied carrier liquid; applying a second piece of fabric to the predetermined area of a first piece of fabric; and curing the particles of a powdered elastomer to create a bonded seam between the first piece of fabric and the second piece of fabric.
SILICONE OPTICS
Silicone-containing light fixture optics. A method for manufacturing an optical component may include mixing two precursors of silicone, opening a first gate of an optic forming device, moving the silicone mixture from the extrusion machine into the optic forming device, cooling the silicone mixture as it enters the optic forming device, filling a mold within the optic forming device with the silicone mixture, closing the first gate, and heating the silicone mixture in the mold to at least partially cure the silicone. Alternatively, a method for manufacturing an optical component may include depositing a layer of heat cured silicone optical material to an optical structure, arranging one or more at least partially cured silicone optics on the layer of heat cured silicone optical material, and heating the heat cured silicone optical material to permanently adhere the one or more at least partially cured silicone optics to the optical structure.
