Material dispense tips and methods for forming the same
A dispense tip constructed and arranged to communicate with a material dispensing pump comprises an elongated neck and a molded base having a first portion and a second portion opposite the first portion. The neck extends from the first portion of the base. The second portion is constructed and arranged to abut an outlet surface of the pump. An outermost region of the second portion of the base includes a compressible fluid-tight surface that compliantly conforms to the outlet surface when the dispense tip is mounted to the pump.
Bonding composite structures using interpenetrating polymer network adhesives
An interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) adhesive comprises an acrylated polymer system curable by radiation, and a flexible epoxy system thermally curable after the acrylated polymer system is cured.
Interlocking object construction units
The present apparatus relates to a standardized assembly unit for building objects by utilizing connection elements that mechanically attach together permanently. By utilizing particular surface features and characteristics, such as compressive tabs and interlocking structures, the interlocking units described herein are able to impart structural stability to various objects without the need to provide overlapping layers of material or fasteners. More specifically, utilizing only mechanical linkages and connectors, a collection of interlocking units are utilized to assemble complex objects having high strength, durability and permanence.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING RESIN MEMBER INCLUDING CONDUCTIVE PASTE LAYER AND FEED PORTION, AND METHOD FOR CONNECTING RESIN MEMBER INCLUDING CONDUCTIVE PASTE LAYER AND FEED PORTION TO EXTERNAL FEED MEMBER
A method for producing a resin member including a conductive paste layer and a feed portion that can suitably fix an insert member in place relative to a mold without leaving a part having no relationship with the structural members of the final product within the insert member, and a method for connecting the resin member produced with such a method to an external feed member. The method includes storing an insert member including an exterior resin film with a conductive paste layer, and a first magnetic attractor to become a feed portion into a cavity of a mold including a second magnetic attractor; positioning and fixing the insert member in the cavity using magnetic attractive force of the first and the second magnetic attractors; and injecting resin into the cavity to form a resin panel, thereby integrating the insert member with the resin panel to produce a resin member.
Connection method in addition to a functional part which can be used therefore, and flame-retardant total system produced thereby
A connection method, in addition to a functional part used in it and to a flame-retardant total system, connects a single- or multilayer functional part (10) to a third component (20). The functional part (10) has functional elements (14, 16) projecting on one side. The functional part (10) is formed at least partially from a material at least partially transparent to laser light. A blocking layer (18) is disposed to be at least partially opaque to laser light such that after passage of the laser light through the functional part (10), the laser light inside the blocking layer (18) generates heat by absorption for melting the functional part (10) and/or the third component (20) to connect them to one another.
Method and device for joining components
A method for joining a first and a second component, at least one of which comprises a fiber-reinforced plastics material. The components are arranged in relation to one another in such a way that a gap region remains between the first and the second component. The gap region is filled, at least in portions, with an uncured plastics material filler in which nanoparticles are dispersed. Energy is introduced locally into the nanoparticles in order to cure the plastics material filler. In another aspect, the invention provides a device for joining two components.

Glued Arrangement
A glued arrangement, preferably for a motor vehicle, is disclosed. The glued arrangement includes a first component, a second component, and at least one adhesive layer for connecting the two components. The adhesive layer includes a central zone and an edge zone that surrounds the central zone where, in the hardened state, the adhesive in the edge zone has a higher elasticity than the adhesive in the central zone.
Transmission belt manufacturing method and transmission belt
A method of manufacturing a power transmission belt includes: molding and vulcanizing an endless tension member layer in which a cord extending in a belt length direction is embedded; molding and vulcanizing a rubber member for a compressed rubber layer; and bonding together the tension member layer that has been vulcanized and the rubber member, that has been vulcanized, for the compressed rubber layer.
JOINING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PERFORMING THE JOINING METHOD
A method for joining a fastener to a workpiece. The method comprising the following steps. Providing a fastening element including: a shaft-shaped anchor section which extends between a first end and a second end along an anchor axis; a flange formed on and extending radially to the first end of the anchor section, and the flange at least partially forms an application section, and; a joining material pre-applied to the application section and lying in an at least partially solid state, and wherein the joining material includes a first adhesive material and a second adhesive material. Providing a workpiece including a carrier surface. Arranging the fastening element on the carrier surface. Mixing the first and second adhesive materials by rotating the fastening element. And, joining the fastening element to the workpiece via the cross-linking reaction of the first and second adhesive materials.
