Fabrication method for making a trim element by welding of a structural element and a functional element
An assembly method for assembling a structural element and a functional element constituted of a first functional element part and a second functional element part. The method includes the steps of (a) bringing into contact the first functional element part, the second functional element part and the structural element in at least one assembly zone, with the first functional element part being in contact with the second functional element part, and the first functional element part and the second functional element part being respectively in contact with the structural element in the assembly zone, and (b) welding of the first and the second functional element parts on to the structural element in the assembly zone in a single welding pass in a manner so as to simultaneously attach the first and the second functional element parts to the structural element.
WAFER ALIGNMENT METHOD AND SYSTEM
Wafers are aligned with one another by reference to features formed on or in each wafer. A method includes forming a first pivot-notch, a first stop-notch, and a first bias-notch in a first wafer by reference to first features formed on or in the first wafer. Also formed is a second pivot-notch, a second stop-notch, and a second bias-notch in a second wafer by reference to second features formed on or in the second wafer. A first wafer is mounted in an aligning device, wherein a two-contact element enters into the first pivot-notch, and a single-contact element enters the first stop-notch. The second wafer is mounted in the aligning device, wherein the two-contact element enters into the second pivot-notch, and the single-contact element enters the second stop-notch. A biasing force is exerted onto surfaces of the first and second bias-notches to align the first features with the second features.
Gear housing especially for an epicyclic gear set and method of making same
A gear housing for an epicyclic gear set, the gear housing including a hollow wheel having internal teething and a first front end with a first front-side joining surface; a housing cover having a second front end with a second front-side joining surface for longitudinally axially covering the hollow wheel; and a bonded connection for connecting the first front end to the second front end through the mating of the first and second front-side joining surfaces, at which the hollow wheel and the housing cover are connected to each other by a bonded connection, in particular, by heated tool welding, infrared welding, ultrasonic welding, or rotary friction welding.
FILM PASTING TOOL AND FILM PASTING METHOD
A film pasting tool is used to paste one surface of a film on a member-to-be-pasted at a predetermined position. The tool comprises a flexible tabular body, a first adhesive part, a front surface thereof being adhesive, provided on one surface of the body, and a second adhesive part, a front surface thereof being adhesive, provided on a part of a region other than a region where the first adhesive part is provided out of one surface of the body. An other surface of the film is pastable on the front surface of the second adhesive part, and when the other surface of the film is pasted on the front surface of the second adhesive part, the front surface of the first adhesive part is exposed in such a manner that the front surface of the first adhesive part is pastable on the member-to-be-pasted.
ASSEMBLY FOR NON-DETACHABLE CONNECTION OF PLASTIC PARTS FOR A CAR
An assembly for non-detachable connection of plastic parts for a car is provided. The assembly includes at least one set of pairs of complementary fastening elements. One element from each pair is rigidly connected to a first part, and a second element from the same pair is rigidly connected to a second part. The second element is at least partially inserted into the first element from the same pair. One element from each pair includes a protruding portion and a slot dividing the protruding portion into at least two segments. A second element from the same pair includes a recessed portion and a partition extending into the recessed portion. In each pair, the protruding portion is inserted into the recessed portion and the partition is inserted into the slot. The fastening elements further include protrusions and recesses for mutual engagement and connection of the parts to be connected.
Wafer alignment method and system
Wafers are aligned with one another by reference to features formed on or in each wafer. Notches are formed in each wafer, including a pivot-notch that allows for two-point contact, and a stop-notch that provides for single-point contact. A bias-notch is formed for pressing the wafers into engagement with the two-contact element when it is in the pivot-notch and with the single-contact element when it is in the stop-notch. The wafers may be bonded to one another to maintain the alignment of the referenced features.
Apparatus and Method for Manufacturing Composite Airfoils
The present disclosure is directed to an apparatus and method for manufacturing a composite component. The apparatus includes a mold onto which the composite component is formed. The mold is disposed within a grid defined by a first axis and a second axis. The apparatus further includes a first frame assembly disposed above the mold and a plurality of machine heads coupled to the first frame assembly within the grid in an adjacent arrangement along the first axis. At least one of the mold or the plurality of machine heads is moveable along the first axis, the second axis, or both. At least one of the machine heads of the plurality of machine heads is moveable independently of one another along a third axis. A second frame assembly is moveable above the mold along the first axis, the second axis, or both. The second frame assembly includes a holding device. The holding device affixes to and releases from an outer skin to place and displace the outer skin at the mold.
CONNECTION DEVICE FOR PIPE ELEMENTS
The present invention relates to a connection device for plastic pipe elements (1) which allows performing pre-assembly and being finally assembled without requiring skilled labor, comprising a pipe element (1) having at least one end, a plastic connection element (2) which is connected to an outer surface of said pipe element (1) through said end, which comprises a resistance wire (3) wound on the outer surface of the pipe element (1) itself.
CHILD-RESISTANT CONTAINERS HAVING SPINNING COLLAR CAP ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS FOR THE MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Child-resistant containers or packages having spinning collar cap assemblies are provided, as are methods for manufacturing such containers. In various embodiments, the child-resistant container includes a container body having an inner cavity, an opening to the inner cavity, and a container neck circumscribing the opening. A spinning collar is retained around the container neck and is rotatable relative thereto in at least a first rotational direction. The child-resistant container further includes an overcap, which is sized and shaped to enclose the opening when attached to the spinning collar. Through the provision of a suitable threaded interface the overcap can be (i) detached from the spinning collar by rotation of the overcap relative to the spinning collar in the first rotational direction and (ii) removably attached to the spinning collar by rotation of the overcap relative to the spinning collar in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction.
