Cutting wire for removal of expanded material after curing of a composite part
Composite fabrication system and associated methods. In one embodiment, a composite fabrication system comprises a molding tool that includes a forming surface at least partially disposed within a constrained space, and a foamable material that expands inside of the constrained space to form an expanded material that presses a layup of one or more composite layers against the molding tool. The composite fabrication system further comprises a curing device configured to cure the layup to form a composite part, and a cutting wire embedded in the constrained space that is heated and configured to cut the expanded material into pieces that are removable from the constrained space.
Plastic tank having a welded frusto-conical flange joint
A plastic tank is comprised of two parts, a base and a top, that are permanently joined to each other by welding at a circumferential joint formed by two mating flanges of the parts. The faying surfaces of the flanges of the top and base have portions in the shape of a hollow truncated cone. Fusion weld elements are captured on the faying surfaces of the flanges of the assembled parts, and the elements melted by internal heating of metal portions of the elements.
COLD WEATHER VENTED GARMENT
The present invention relates to breathable, vented, and insulating cold weather garments. More particularly, the present invention relates to garments with chambers to retain an insulating fill material. Perforations along the seams between the insulating chambers may achieve optimal evaporative moisture transfer from the inside (proximal to the body of a wearer) of the garment to the outside environment.
Inflatable article of footwear or bladders for use in inflatable articles of manufacture
The present invention is a method for manufacturing inflatable articles, or bladders for inflatable articles, that is time-efficient, simple, inexpensive and permits the uninterrupted manufacture of numerous and even customized article or bladder configurations and sizes, without expensive configuration-specific, metal tooling. The method includes the steps of applying a barrier material to a side of a first film, providing a second film with the first film so that the barrier material is disposed between the first and second films, adhering the first film to the second film so that the films are sealed together in areas except where the barrier material has been applied to form at least one inflatable compartment and sealed peripheral edge, and cutting along the sealed peripheral edge to form an inflatable article or bladder for use in an article of manufacture. The barrier material may be a paint, ink, paper or surface treatment that effectively prevents the first film from adhering to the second. The inflatable article or bladder of the present invention may be used as or in athletic equipment, for example, including footwear.
Transport device and disposable wearable article production method using same
A holding region includes opposite skirt portions in a revolution direction of a holding pad each of which has at least opposite ends in a specific direction that extend along a first curve when the holding pad is at a first revolution position. The holding region includes a second area bearing on at least part of one side portion and at least part of the other side portion in a revolution direction of the holding pad when the holding pad is at a second revolution position that extends along a second curve. A delivery side holding region includes opposite side portions in the specific direction each of which has at least opposite ends in a rotational direction, each end being formed with a first recess. The first recess having a bottom surface that extends along an arc of the first curve.
SYSTEM FOR CHECKING PACKAGE BODY WITH IMAGE
A system for checking a package body with an image is capable of automatically judging good or bad product of manufactured package bodies and automatically performing change of production conditions in a filling and packaging machine, and includes a filling and packaging machine, an image data judgement system, a storage device and an image data analysis system, wherein the image data judgement system is provided with an imaging device for shooting a package body, a storage unit for storing judgement condition on good or bad package body, a judgement unit for judging good or bad package body and an image data transmission unit for transmitting the image data shot by the imaging device to the storage device.
Device and method for forming ultrasonic welds on web materials in continuous movement
Apparatus for forming transversal welds on a composite web material, comprising at least two superimposed sheets of material, suitable for use in the production of sanitary articles, comprising: a feeding unit including first and second feeding means configured to advance the composite web along a main straight direction X at a speed V.sub.1. an ultrasonic welding unit 80 arranged between the first and second feeding means, comprising at least one ultrasound source coupled to a sonotrode having a flat welding surface and an anvil unit having at least one anvil element movable along a closed path, which has a straight portion parallel to the main direction X.
PVC disposable glove and manufacturing process thereof
A type of PVC related disposable gloves and the manufacturing process thereof. The process includes: The PVC resin or its mixture is mixed with a plasticizer to form a glove formula mixture. The films of glove material mixture are formed with the said glove formula mixture. Two layers of the said films of glove material mixture are placed in parallel to form the glove material films An insulation layer is placed on one side of the glove material films, and a beam of electromagnetic waves is applied and distributed along a path of preset contour onto the surface of the glove material films so that the electromagnetic beam penetrates the glove material films and, as the result, the two layers of the glove material films are effectively sealed and joined along the path of preset contour; Or thermal heat is applied and distributed along a path of preset contour onto the surface of the glove material films so that the heating temperature is equal to or higher than the critical point of heat sealing temperature of the glove material films and, as the result, the two layers of the glove material films are effectively sealed and joined along the path of preset contour. Pressure is applied on the glove material films along the path of preset contour so that the two layers of the glove material films are fused integrally along the path of preset contour. A cutting edge is applied along the outer path of preset contour, and the inner part of the path of preset contour including the fused part is separated from the glove material films, while an opening at the wrist is cut, so that a piece of the PVC related disposable glove is formed. This manufacturing process of the PVC related disposable gloves greatly reduces the environmental pollutions and has a very high value for in protecting the environment.
METHOD OF FORMING A COMPOSITE WEB UTILIZING A ROTARY BONDING SYSTEM WITH AN ANVIL PATTERN
A method of bonding a first web of material to a second web of material to form a composite material is disclosed herein. First, a first web of material and a second web of material moving in a machine direction is provided. The webs of material pass over a first energy application device extending transverse in the cross-machine direction. The first energy application device includes a primary bonding pattern and a secondary bonding pattern. The primary bonding pattern in combination with the secondary bonding pattern extends continuously across the first energy application device in the cross-machine direction. In addition, a second energy application device is provided. The second energy application device is moved in the cross-machine direction, and thereby extending the second energy application device over the first energy application device and operating the first and second energy application devices in combination to bond a composite web.
