MITIGATING DEFECTS IN AN ELECTROCHROMIC DEVICE UNDER A BUS BAR
Methods are provided for fabricating electrochromic devices that mitigate formation of short circuits under a top bus bar without predetermining where top bus bars will be applied on the device. Devices fabricated using such methods may be deactivated under the top bus bar, or may include active material under the top bus bar. Methods of fabricating devices with active material under a top bus bar include depositing a modified top bus bar, fabricating self-healing layers in the electrochromic device, and modifying a top transparent conductive layer of the device prior to applying bus bars.
POUCH-TYPE SECONDARY BATTERY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
A pouch-type secondary battery and a method of manufacturing same are capable of completely protecting a metal layer from moisture or air by forming an insulating coating layer including a conformal coating layer on the metal layer exposed at a cut surface of a battery case. The method includes a first step of preparing a battery case including an upper case and a lower case by cutting a laminate sheet including an outer coating layer, a metal layer, and an inner coating layer; a second step of receiving an electrode assembly between the upper case and the lower case; a third step of forming a sealing portion by contacting outer peripheries of the upper case and the lower case; and a fourth step of forming a conformal coating layer on a side surface of the sealing portion so as to prevent exposure of the metal layer.
Method of repairing or reinforcing wind turbine blade, or attaching accessory part to wind turbine blade
A method of repairing or reinforcing, or attaching an accessory part to a wind turbine blade includes: determining a criterion to be satisfied by a repair member including a reinforcing fiber and a UV curable resin, the criterion being an adhesion strength of the repair member relative to a base member of the wind turbine blade; determining a work condition including: dimensions of the repair member, the number of the layers of the reinforcing fiber in the repair member, and/or a fiber extension direction of the reinforcing fiber, based on a damage condition of a repair target portion of the wind turbine blade; placing the reinforcing fiber and UV curable resin on the repair target portion based on the determined work condition; and obtaining the repair member by curing the UV curable resin so that the adhesion strength of the repair member relative to the base member satisfies the criterion.
Load bearing structure
The present invention provides a movable load bearing structure with a surface that includes antimicrobial agents capable of eliminating, preventing, retarding or minimizing the growth of microbes and also minimizing cross-contamination when the load bearing structure is being reused for cargoes that differ from a previously transported cargo, for example, different food types, such as poultry, fresh vegetables, and fresh fruit. The load bearing structure may be a dunnage platform or a container for storing and/or shipping cargo.
MULTI-MATERIAL ASSEMBLY AND METHODS OF MAKING THERE OF
A multi-material assembly is provided, as well as methods of making a multi-material assembly. The multi-material assembly includes a first coated structural component and a second structural component. The first coated structural component includes a first uncoated portion, and an adhesive is positioned between the second structural component and the first uncoated portion that secures the first coated structural component to the second structural component.

METHOD OF REPAIRING OR REINFORCING WIND TURBINE BLADE, OR ATTACHING ACCESSORY PART TO WIND TURBINE BLADE
