PRODUCTION OF MULTISHELL COMPOSITE-MATERIAL COMPONENTS WITH REINFORCEMENT STRUCTURE BONDED THERETO
The invention relates to a process for the production of multishell composite-material components, comprising the following steps: a) insertion of at least one first component (1) into an injection mold and optionally subjecting the first component (1) to a forming process, b) injection of at least one fixing element (4) onto at least one side (5) of the first component (1), c) insertion of at least one second component (2) into the injection mold and optionally subjecting the second component (2) to a forming process, d) bonding of the first component (1) to the second component (2) by way of the side (5) which has the fixing element (4), where a matrix material (6) is injected through the second component (2) onto and/or into the fixing element (4).
FUEL TANK MADE OF POLYKETONE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Provided are a fuel tank made of polyketone and a method of manufacturing the same. The method includes injection-molding an upper cover and a lower cover using an injection-molding machine, placing the upper cover and the lower cover at a relatively high position and a relatively low position, respectively, assembling the upper cover and the lower cover with each other, and bonding contact surfaces between the upper cover and the lower cover to each other using a laser beam. Since the upper cover and the lower cover are formed at the same time and are bonded to each other immediately after being assembled by a machine, it is possible to achieve automated production, mass production and remarkable cost reduction. Further, since the fuel tank has sufficient rigidity due to the rigidity of polyketone without an additional reinforcing member, it is possible to manufacture a lightweight fuel tank.
Molded part
An additional pad 27 is additionally and integrally arranged from an outer surface of a flange 17 opposite to a contacting side of the flange 17 to a small-diameter curved surface of a bend 19 and from there to an end of an outer surface of a part body 13. On an outer surface side of the additional pad 27, a fastening seat 27f is formed by machining. An area end PAe of a processed area PA formed by machining is positioned on the part body 13 beyond the bend 19.
Washing machine and manufacturing method of door
A washing machine including a door to open and close an opening for laundry. The door includes a first upper door, a second upper door disposed to allow at least one portion of the first upper door to be seen therethrough, and a lower door. The lower door includes a contraction preventing part to prevent the lower door from contracting when molded.
METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING A SET OF COMPOSITE PARTS AND ASSEMBLY OBTAINED BY SUCH A METHOD
A method for assembling a box structure includes elementary parts assembled along an understructure of stiffeners and skins. The understructure and skins are made of composite material with a polymer matrix. The method includes sizing the box structure for the loads to which it is subjected and for a glued assembly. A map of the loads on the structure is obtained and a first load limit is defined depending on the probability of the structure being damaged. The understructure and the skins are assembled by gluing them. An additional layer is applied that covers the assembled elementary parts to areas of the assembled box structure where the first load limit is reached.
Advanced composite radome and method of manufacturing
A radome for housing a radar system comprises a plurality of interconnected curved radome thermoplastic composite material panels, each curved radome thermoplastic composite material panel having a plurality of interconnecting edges, a foam core, an inner skin, an outer skin, and a plurality of three-dimensional fiber bundles tying the inner skin and the outer skin to each other through the foam core, inhibiting delamination. The radome includes a hydrophobic exterior surface that is self-cleaning and requires zero maintenance for 25 years.
Method of manufacturing custom sized plastic tote having intermediate sleeve
A method of manufacturing a custom sized plastic tote lighter in weight than heretofore known custom sized plastic totes is provided. The method comprises separating an injection molded tote into upper and lower portions by cutting the injection molded tote. A sleeve or middle portion of plastic material is secured to the upper and lower portions of the injection molded tote to create a custom sized plastic tote of a desired height. Alternatively, portions of different injection molded totes may be used to create a custom sized plastic tote. The sleeve may be made from different materials and may be made of multiple pieces.
VEHICLE GRILLE
A vehicle grille includes: a grille panel; a lens panel disposed at a rear side of the grille panel, formed in a same shape as some or entire area of the grille panel, and, when a light is incident, configured to allow some of the light to propagate in the lens panel and emit some of the light to an outside of the lens panel; and a housing disposed on a rear surface of the lens panel, formed in a same shape as the lens panel, and including a coupling provision hole configured to allow a front surface of the lens panel to be coupled to a rear surface of the grille panel at a rear side of the lens panel, wherein the rear surface of the lens panel and a front surface of the housing are coupled at the front side of the lens panel.
Blood oxygenator
The present disclosure describes a blood oxygenator that includes a checkerboard layout of fluid (e.g., blood) and gas (e.g., oxygen) channels. When viewed as a cross-section through each of the channels of the oxygenator, the checkerboard configuration includes alternating gas and fluid channels in both the x-axis (e.g., in-plane) and in the y-axis (e.g., out-of-plane) directions. The oxygenator described herein reduces manufacturing complexity by using first, second, and third polymer layers that include asymmetrical channel designs. The channel designs include “open” gas channels, which are exposed to the ambient atmosphere. The oxygenator is placed within a pressure vessel to drive gas into each of the open gas channels, which in some implementations, negates the need for a gas manifold.
Three-dimensional object and method for forming three-dimensional object
A three-dimensional object includes an outer-layer member and an inner structural member. The outer-layer member is a layer to constitute the surface of the three-dimensional object, and includes an inner space. The outer-layer member is made up of a plurality of divided outer-layer pieces formed of build material, which is functional ink ejected from a droplet ejection head and cured. The inner structural member is disposed in the inner space of the outer-layer member and configured to support the outer-layer member.
