Package and heat sealing device
Aspects of the present invention are directed to a heat sealed packaging wherein the heat seal is along a curved surface. Additional aspects of the present invention are directed to a device for heat sealing a package on a surface that is curved along the direction of force.
Method and Apparatus for Manufacturing Pouch-Type Secondary Battery
A method for manufacturing a pouch-type secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present invention may include: a first sealing operation of fusing a lead film, which is attached to an electrode lead of an electrode assembly, to a sealing portion of a pouch in which the electrode assembly is accommodated; and a second sealing operation of sealing the sealing portion of the pouch. The first sealing operation may include: a heating process of irradiating with a laser beam a region which is present in the sealing portion of the pouch and corresponds to the lead film, thereby heating the lead film and melting a resin layer of the region; and a bonding process of compressing the region, thereby bonding the lead film and the melted resin layer.
POUCH-TYPE SECONDARY BATTERY AND POUCH FILM FORMING APPARATUS
Disclosed is a pouch-type secondary battery, which includes an electrode assembly having a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate disposed to face each other and a pouch case having a concave groove formed to accommodate the electrode assembly, wherein the pouch case includes a first pouch film and a second pouch film thermally fused to the first pouch film, and wherein a concave groove is formed in at least one of the first pouch film and the second pouch film, and the concave groove has a bottom surface on which the electrode assembly is placed so that the bottom surface has an area equal to or greater than an area of a reference surface that covers an opening of the concave groove.
Pouch-type secondary battery and method for manufacturing the same
A pouch-type secondary battery includes an electrode assembly including a first electrode plate, a separator, and a second electrode plate; and a pouch film in which the electrode assembly is accommodated, wherein the pouch film includes a first side sealing portion from which a negative electrode lead connected to the electrode assembly protrudes, a second side sealing portion from which a positive electrode lead connected to the electrode assembly protrudes, and an upper sealing portion having both end portions connected to the first and second side sealing portions, and the pouch film includes a folded portion disposed on an end of the first side sealing portion and an end of the second side sealing portion, and folded toward a bottom portion of the pouch film, wherein the folded portion is folded in one direction.
Pouch exterior material for secondary battery, pouch type secondary battery using the same, and method of manufacturing the same
A pouch exterior material that enables an electrode assembly to be easily mounted on an accommodating portion at a proper position, having an integrated shape and including an inserting portion provided at a center of the pouch exterior material and having a width equal to a thickness of the electrode assembly, accommodating portions provided symmetrically at two sides of the inserting portion and gradually deepening from a portion corresponding to a width center of the electrode assembly towards a portion corresponding to an edge of the electrode assembly, and a triangular stepped portion provided at two ends of the inserting portion and having a depth gradually decreasing towards an end.
Hollow structure for breathing mask
A hollow structure for a face mask includes an inner wall, an outer wall spaced from the inner wall to define a hollow area between the inner wall and the outer wall, and a bottom wall that couples the inner wall to the outer wall. A first portion and a second portion together define a closable opening into the hollow area. The second portion is coupled to the outer wall by a bi-stable membrane that allows the second portion to move between (1) a first, opened position in which the second portion is spaced from the first portion to allow access to the hollow area through the opening, and (2) a second, closed position in which the second position abuts the first portion to close the opening.
Ovenable heat-sealed package
A package comprises a heat seal between a first film and a second film. The first film comprises at least 70% of one or more polyamides. The first film also comprises at least one modified layer comprising (1) at least 70% of one or more polyamides and (2) one or more modifiers selected from ethylene/alkyl(meth)acrylate copolymers, ethylene/(meth)acrylic acid copolymers, and ionomers. The second film comprises at least 70%) of one or more polyamides. The package is useful under ovenable conditions.
METHOD OF FORMING A PACKAGE
A method of forming a package is provided and includes providing two laminate edge portions of the package, each of which includes a foil layer between first and second resin layers; and welding together the respective first resin layers at a first position spaced apart from the edges while not welding the respective first resin layers at the edges, wherein the edge portions include edges from which electrode terminals extend such that portions of the electrode terminals are exposed beyond the edges, and wherein the edge portions are between a sealing portion and exposed portions of positive and negative electrode terminals.
MEDICAL PACKAGE
An assembly includes a medical package defining a housing configured to receive a medical supply. The medical package comprises a first sealable region and a second sealable region. The first and second sealable regions are configured to be sealed together to secure the medical supply within the housing. The medical package includes a thermal pattern configured to exhibit a first visible indicium indicative of an unsealed region between the first and second sealable regions. The thermal pattern is configured to irreversibly transform to a second visible indicium indicative of a sealed region between the first and second sealable regions in response to exposure to a temperature greater than or equal to a first temperature threshold, and to a third visible indicium indicative of a sterilized stage of the medical package in response to exposure to a temperature greater than or equal to a second temperature threshold.
Cell
A cell in which thermal welding of a laminate packaging is performed so that the thickness of a thermal welded portion including an electrode terminal is larger than that of a thermal welded portion including no electrode terminal.
