A non-woven textile may be formed from a plurality of thermoplastic polymer filaments. The non-woven textile may have a first region and a second region, with the filaments of the first region being fused to a greater degree than the filaments of the second region. A variety of products, including apparel (e.g., shirts, pants, footwear), may incorporate the non-woven textile. In some of these products, the non-woven textile may be joined with another textile element to form a seam. More particularly, an edge area of the non-woven textile may be heatbonded with an edge area of the other textile element at the seam. In other products, the non-woven textile may be joined with another component, whether a textile or a non-textile.

Metal/fiber-reinforced resin material composite

[Problem] To provide a metal/fiber-reinforced resin material composite in which a metal member and a fiber-reinforced resin material are firmly bonded, a light weight and excellent workability are obtained while the strength is enhanced, and the amount of the fiber-reinforced resin material used can be reduced. [Solution] A metal/fiber-reinforced resin material composite comprising a metal member, and a first fiber-reinforced resin material having a matrix resin and a reinforcement fiber material, the metal member and the first fiber-reinforced resin material being formed into a composite with an adhesive resin layer interposed therebetween, wherein the adhesive resin layer is obtained by solidifying or curing an adhesive resin composition containing at least 50 mass parts of a phenoxy resin (A), and the maximum load of the metal/fiber-reinforced resin material composite is greater than the total load of the maximum load of the metal member alone and the maximum load of the fiber-reinforced resin material alone (i.e., so as to display a “super-law-of-mixture (or law of over-mixture)” that surpasses the law of mixture with respect to the tensile load).

The invention further concerns a connector that is suitable for being used in a method according to the invention.

Methods of Using Compression Collars for Coupling a Tube to a Tube Fitting

A method for coupling a tube to a tube fitting includes radially outwardly expanding a tubular compression collar from a constricted state to an expanded state, the compression collar having a throughway extending there through and being made of a resiliently flexible material. An end of the tube is inserted within the throughway of the expanded compression collar, the tube bounding a passage. A tube fitting is inserted within the passage of the tube. The compression collar is allowed to resiliently rebound back towards the constricted state so that the compression collar pushes the tube against the tube fitting.
