Encapsulation of gases within cyclodextrins
An inclusion complex of an amorphous -cyclodextrin, or derivative thereof, with encapsulated ethylene is provided by exposure of the dry solid amorphous -cyclodextrin to ethylene gas under pressure. The inclusion complex will have applications in a number of fields including fruit ripening.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR WASHING GRAPES, ESPECIALLY GRAPES FOR WINEMAKING
Process and plant for washing of grapes especially for wine making comprising: a first stage of automated washing able to remove substances and/or foreign bodies from the grapes at least through the effect of chemical agents; a second stage of automated washing to remove chemical agents from the grape;
the phases of washing being such as to preserve the integrity and the organoleptic qualities of the grape.
FOOD PRODUCT CABINET SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ANTIMICROBIAL TREATMENT OF FOOD PRODUCTS
Apparatuses and methods for applying an antimicrobial agent to food products include methods and systems for limiting the escape of antimicrobial agent to the environment during antimicrobial treatment of the food product. In one embodiment, a series of cabinet panels moves in line with the passing food product and forms an enclosure around the food product by means of panels closing ahead of and behind the food product. In another embodiment, the direction and spray pattern of positively charged aerosolized antimicrobial particles is controlled by attracting the particles to preselected negatively charged regions within a treatment volume.

Filtration system
A filtration system is arranged to safely vent a storage room into which a fog mixture is introduced. Venting the storage room reduces and/or prevents a substantial increase in the internal pressure of the storage room. To control the pressure differential between the storage room and the ambient air pressure, a venting manifold with an in-line duct fan is used, for example, to exhaust storage room air into the atmosphere. The exhausted storage room air is filtered to reduce the exfiltration of chemicals and/or other contaminants from the environmentally sealed storage room.

Food preservation system
A food preservation system is provided. The system includes a storage cabinet for storing foods, an electrolytic gas generator, a gas sensor and a control unit. The electrolytic gas generator is in fluid communication with the storage cabinet to output a first gas and a second gas to preserve the foods. The gas sensor is arranged in the storage cabinet to detect the concentration of the gases in the storage cabinet for obtaining gas concentration information which includes a first gas concentration and a second gas concentration. The control unit is electrically connected to the electrolytic gas generator and the gas sensor. According to the received gas concentration information, the control unit adjusts the applied voltage of the electrolytic gas generator to control the gas species generated by the electrolytic gas generator and the first and second gas concentrations in the storage cabinet.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR THE PRESERVATION OF COCONUT PRODUCTS
A system and method for the preservation of coconut products via dehydration and freezing are disclosed. Via the systems and methods described herein, coconuts can achieve a significantly longer shelf life, without degradation of the coconuts naturally-occurring beneficial aspects. One exemplary embodiment of the invention discloses a method for the preservation of a coconut by dehydrating the coconut in a blast cooler with a dehumidifier and a blower. The combination of the cool temperature and the dry airflow over the coconut, cause the coconut to dehydrate, decreasing the amount of water inside the coconut. With less water inside of the coconut, the coconut can then be frozen in a shock freezer, without cracking the coconut. The coconut is then defrosted at a specific temperature for a specific period of time, to ensure the coconut shell remains dry, thereby preventing mold and mildew on the exterior of the coconut.
OZONE RAIN PAN
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to systems and methods for combing ozone and water to deliver ozonated water in a rinse stream. The ozone rain pan finds particular use for rinsing food products traveling along a conveyor line with ozonated water.
