Laser welded structure, electronic controller and manufacture method for laser welded structure
A laser welded structure is formed by laser welding together a resin molded body formed from a thermoplastic polymer alloy containing a crystalline resin and an amorphous resin and a metal body made of a metal. A glass transition temperature of the amorphous resin is lower than a melting start temperature of the crystalline resin.
PACKAGE FOR INDICATING HEAT-SEAL CONDITION
Heat-seal condition indicating packages include a first sealing substrate comprising a leuco dye and a second sealing substrate comprising a leuco dye developer. The packages may optionally include a leuco dye sensitizer which dissolves both the leuco dye and the leuco dye developer when melted. The packages further include a heat-seal produced between the first sealing substrate and the second seating substrate. The heat-sea! comprises a reaction product of the leuco dye and the leuco dye developer. The reaction product may be colored, which may provide the heat-seal with a detectable optical characteristic. A magnitude of the optical characteristic may be proportion to the strength of the seal between the first and second seating substrates.
SEAM CONSTRUCTION USING RADIO FREQUENCY WELDING AND TAPE
A process of constructing an air tight and water tight seam, comprising cutting a sheet of selected material into two or more panels, sealing the panels at respective selected edges using an ultrasonic machine to form a seam, overlaying the seam with a tape made of the same selected material, and sealing the tape and seam using a radio frequency (RF) welding machine.
Polyethylene pouch and the fabrication method thereof
The present disclosure is concerned with a method of forming a seal with a polyethylene based film structure. The polyethylene based film structure has at least one layer formed with an oriented polyethylene having a predetermined melting temperature (T.sub.m). A conductive heat sealing device provides heat to form the seal, where a first sealing bar of the conductive heat sealing device operates at a first operating temperature of at least 10 degrees Celsius (? C.) below the T.sub.m of the oriented polyethylene in the polyethylene based film structure and a second sealing bar of the conductive heat sealing device operates at a second operating temperature of at least 15? C. higher than the operating temperature of the first sealing bar. The seal formed with the polyethylene based film structure retains at least 99 percent of its original surface area prior to forming the seal.
METHOD FOR WELDING MOLDED BODIES
A process for welding a first molding to a second molding. The process uses an implement including first and second external surfaces. Each external surface further includes a duct. An end of the first molding is heated by a hot gas while the end is at a distance from the duct-entry plane in the range from 3 mm outside the duct to 10 mm inside the duct. A junction area of the second molding is heated by a hot gas while the junction area is at a distance from the duct-entry plane in a range from 3 mm outside the duct to 10 mm inside the duct. The heated end and the heated junction area are then brought into contact with one another and cooled, forming a weld between the first molding and the second molding. Also disclosed is a welded molding obtainable by the process of the invention.
Method and Apparatus For Making Sealed Pouches
A method and apparatus for making pouches is disclosed. It includes using one or more of the following features: using two servo motors to drive a platen, providing a calibration routine is run at start-up and/or after the machine has been operating; controlling in response to feed back from the servo motor(s) such as feedback indicative of the distance the platen travels; the feedback is not of force exerted by the platen; and/or the platen is controlled to prevent unacceptable fracturing of the film laminate.
METHOD FOR CONNECTING TWO JOINING ELEMENTS
The present invention relates to a method for connecting two joining elements, these elements being connected by means of a thermally activatable adhesive with a flat heating element arranged therein, by suitable heating of the adhesive. Method of joining two objects
A method for joining two objects by anchoring an insert portion provided on one of the objects in an opening provided on the other one of the objects. The anchorage is achieved by liquefaction of a thermoplastic material and interpenetration of the liquefied material and a penetrable material, the two materials being arranged on opposite surfaces of the insert portion and the wall of the opening. Before such liquefaction and interpenetration, an interference fit is established in which such opposite surfaces are pressed against each other, and, for the anchoring, mechanical vibration energy and possibly a shearing force are applied, wherein the shearing force puts a shear stress on the interference fit.
RESIN COMPOSITION FOR LASER WELDING AND WELDED BODY THEREOF
A resin composition for laser welding contains: relative to 100 mass parts of (A) a thermoplastic polyester resin material that contains a polybutylene terephthalate homopolymer and at least one of a polybutylene terephthalate copolymer, a polyethylene terephthalate resin, and a polycarbonate resin, 0.0005 to 0.5 mass parts of (B) nigrosine; and 0.01 to 2 mass parts of (C) a colorant containing at least an anthraquinone dye C1 having a maximum absorption wavelength in a range of 590 to 635 nm, a perinone dye C2 having a maximum absorption wavelength in a range of 460 to 480 nm, and an anthraquinone dye C3 having a maximum absorption wavelength in a range of 435 to 455 nm, at C1: C2:C3=24 to 41:24 to 39:22 to 46 as the mass ratio relative to 100 mass parts for a total of C1, C2, and C3.
