Plastic tube screen fill injection mold
The present invention involves a fabrication of plastic-tube-screen-fill (PTSF) injection mold fabricating PTSFs using molten plastics injection molding machine. The PTSFs replace PVC-film-fills currently using in water evaporative cooling towers. The PTSFs have a higher water cooling efficiency compared to the efficiency of the PVC-film-fills and therefore the PTSFs reduce the operation and construction expenses of the cooling tower, and also the PTSFs reduce the production of plastic wastes due to the utilizing of high cooling efficient media in the cooling towers. In order to commercialize the PTSFs, a manufacturing tool of the PTSFs to fabricate a low-cost plastic-tube-screen-fill is needed. To achieve this end, the PTSF injection mold is invented by comprising four partial-molds, which is operated in three dimensional disassembling and reassembling processes using a vertical injection molding machine.

An ejection device having a pushing device that can be moved in translation along a first axis, an ejection element is translatable along a second axis different from the first axis, and a transfer device connecting the pushing device and the ejection element. The transfer device includes a transmission chain having at least two transmission links which are translatable in a sliding direction. The ejection device further includes an adjustment wedge mounted on the pushing device, the adjustment wedge having an adjustment surface forming an adjustment angle, with the transmission chain being mounted on the adjustment surface.

A computing system may include an eject direction determination engine configured to determine an eject direction for an injection mold design, including by determining a set of candidate eject directions for the injection mold design, including a bounding box candidate eject direction determined based on a minimum bounding box of an object representative of a product to be manufactured through the injection mold design and selecting the eject direction for the injection mold design from the set of candidate eject directions based on eject direction determination criteria. The computing system may also include an eject direction application engine configured to set the determined eject direction for the injection mold design so that physical mold pieces constructed from the injection mold design are configured to separate from one another in the determined eject direction during an injection mold production process to manufacture the product.
