PREFORM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING CONTAINER
A preform 20 comprises a neck portion 22 having an opening 21, a cylindrical barrel portion 23, and a bottom portion 24 larger in diameter than the barrel portion 23, and has a corner portion 25 at a boundary between the barrel portion 23 and the bottom portion 24.
Tapping assembly and connecting device; container and method for beverage dispensing
Tapping assembly for a beverage, including container including a first and second container, wherein the first container has a neck portion and the second container is suspended in the first container, from the neck portion thereof. A neck region of the container is provided with at least one opening in a side wall thereof, preferably in a neck region of the first container, opening into a space between the first and second containers. The assembly further includes a connecting device, connected or connectable to the neck portion, wherein the connecting device includes at least one connecting element for connecting to the at least one opening, wherein the connecting element is connected to a source of pressurized gas.
Preform design for lightweight container
A preform configured to form a container by stretch blow molding. A finish portion is at a first end of the preform, and is a container finish. A tip portion is at a second end of the preform opposite to the first end, and is configured to form a container base and a container heel. The shoulder portion is adjacent to the finish portion and is between the finish portion and the tip portion. The shoulder portion is configured to form a container shoulder. The body portion is between the shoulder portion and the tip portion, and is configured to form a container body. The outer surface includes a first flat portion and a second flat portion at the tip portion. The first flat portion extends at a first angle and the second flat portion extends at a second angle that is different than the first angle.
Preforms and processes for making bag in bottle containers
A preform including a preform neck; a preform body extending from the neck; and a preform end cap extending from the preform body; wherein the body and end cap have: an inner layer having an inner layer inner surface and an inner layer outer surface; an outer layer having an outer layer inner surface and an outer layer outer surface; wherein the inner layer is positioned interior to the outer layer, characterized in that outer layer in the end cap have an interlock, wherein the interlock includes a stem and a head extending from the stem, the interlock being connected to the outer layer inner surface by the stem, such that the inner layer and outer layer are connected in the end cap by the interlock.
Preforms for flair applications
A preform can be made from two different materials that do not bond together by a bi-injection process, using the same mold. First an outer preform can be fashioned first, then an inner preform molded through a center hole in the outer preform, and the preforms connected. Inner/outer preform materials can be different, e.g., PET/polyolefin or polyamide, or the same, e.g., PET/PET. To prevent mutual bonding during molding of the second, a non-stick coating can be sprayed on a surface portion of the first preform prior to molding, the second. Manufacturing order can be either outer/inner, or inner/outer, and the non-stick coating sprayed on the inside/outside of the perform first molded.
PRESSURIZED PLURAL NESTED PREFORM ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A plural preform assembly having nested preforms with an inner preform and an outer preform. The preforms are sealably joined together, defining a volume between the preforms. Propellant is disposed in the volume between the preforms. The preforms are later blow molded to provide a bag in bottle, bottle in bottle or similar container. The propellant charge is already present when blow molded, preventing the need for a later propellant filling step.
PLURAL NESTED PREFORM ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A plural preform assembly having nested preforms. The preforms are held together by an interference fit. The interference fit is provided by the friction between the preforms which occurs when the inner preform is inserted into the outer preform. At least one preform may have ribs extending radially towards the other preform. The ribs provided concentricity and interference to hold the preforms together during subsequent operations. The preforms may later be blow molded to provide a bag in bottle or similar container.
COUNTER STRETCH CONNECTING ROD AND POSITIVE FILL LEVEL CONTROL ROD
A mold device and a method related thereto for forming a plastic container from a preform. The mold device comprises a mold defining a mold cavity, an optional stretch initiation rod system for engaging an interior portion of the preform to define a stretch initiation area, and a centrally disposed pressure source positionable within the preform for introducing a pressurized fluid.
Manufacturing method and manufacturing apparatus for delamination container
In a manufacturing method for a delamination container, in a first injection molding, a first recess portion is formed by a first protrusion portion in at least part of a first layer. In a second injection molding, a second recess portion which penetrates the first layer and through which a surface of a second layer is exposed is formed in a preform by inserting a second protrusion portion into the first recess portion. During a blow molding, the second recess portion is stretched to form an air introduction hole in an outer layer of the delamination container.
PREFORM FOR BLOW MOLDED SYRINGE FOR USE WITH INJECTORS
A syringe for use in a pressurized injection of a fluid includes a syringe barrel including a polymeric material having undergone expansion via blow molding. A preform for blow molding a blow molded syringe is described, the preform including a proximal end having a retention mechanism adapted to connect to the syringe to a powered injector, a distal end having a syringe outlet section, and a barrel section between the retention mechanism and the syringe outlet section, wherein the barrel section is adapted to be blow molded to form a cylindrical wall of a syringe barrel defined between the retention mechanism and the syringe outlet section.
