Blow Molding Method and Apparatus for Forming Squeezable Plastic Container
A blow mold system including a mold body and a base portion. The mold body includes a central bore extending from a first end of the mold body to a second end of the mold body along a longitudinal axis. The first end is configured to receive a mold preform. The base portion includes a recess, and the base portion is arranged at the second end of the mold body such that the central bore and recess define a blow mold cavity in which a container may be formed from the mold preform. In embodiments, the blow mold system has at least two interchangeable base portions that allow for containers with differently-sized or differently-shaped necks to be formed.
PREFORM EXTENDED FINISH FOR PROCESSING LIGHT WEIGHT ECOLOGICALLY BENEFICIAL BOTTLES
Disclosed are preforms which incorporate improvements in the region of the neck and upper segment of the body to allow the production of lightweight containers, such as bottles suitable for containing water or other beverages. In accordance with certain embodiments, the improvements include a thinner neck finish area than conventional bottles, where the thinner area is extended into the upper segment of the body portion below the support ring. Reducing the thickness in these areas of the bottle allows for less resin to be used in forming the preform and bottle.
Preform design for lightweight container
A preform configured to form a container by stretch blow molding. The preform includes a finish portion and a tip portion. The finish portion is at a first end of the preform and is a container finish of the container. The tip portion is at a second end of the preform opposite to the first end. The tip portion is configured to form a container base and a container heel of the container. An outer surface of the tip portion includes a flat surface, a first radius on a first side of the flat surface, a second radius between the first radius and the flat surface, a third radius extending from the flat surface on a second side of the flat surface, and a fourth radius extending from the third radius towards the second end of the preform through which a longitudinal axis of the preform extends.
AEROSOL CONTAINER MADE OF PLASTIC
The present disclosure relates to an aerosol container made of plastic, the container having a neck, the opening of which is closeable in a pressure-tight manner by a valve unit that can be actuated by a pushbutton, the container being Tillable with a liquid or gaseous propellant and a liquid to be sprayed. The aerosol container can be an injection cast preform with an elongated tubular preform body. The preform body is closed by a dome-shaped convex preform base, beyond which an integrally formed stand region projects in an axial direction. The preform body adjoins the opening of the neck at the opposite axial longitudinal ends of the preform body.
Plastic container with strapped base
A container may have a base, a sidewall connected to the base, a bell connected to the sidewall, and a finish connected to the bell. The base may have strap ribs to resist deformation of the base. The sidewall may have recessed columns to resist bending, leaning, crumbling, and/or stretching. The strap ribs and recessed columns may vertically line up along a central axis of the container to communicate forces on the container vertically along the container to continuously resist deformation in the base and the sidewall.
Blow-molded syringe for use with an injector
A syringe for use in pressurized injection of a fluid is provided herein. The syringe includes a syringe barrel comprising a polymeric material having undergone expansion by stretch blow molding and by compression molding of an inner diameter of the barrel with a core member. In certain configurations of the syringe barrel, the stretch blow molding is provided through a nozzle of the syringe. Similarly, according to a further embodiment, a syringe for use in pressurized injection of a fluid is provided. The syringe includes a syringe barrel comprising a polymeric material having undergone expansion by stretch blow molding and by shrinking an inner diameter of the syringe barrel about a core member.
Temperature adjusting device, temperature adjusting method, and resin container manufacturing method
A temperature adjustment device and a temperature adjustment method for a preform in a blow molding device with which it is possible to reduce a molding cycle time is provided. A temperature adjustment device for a preform in which a hollow rod member is inserted into an injection-molded, bottomed preform retained by a retention member, and a first air circulation path is formed between the preform and the hollow rod member to adjust the temperature of the preform. The temperature adjustment device is characterized in that a flow path adjustment member is fitted and attached to the outer periphery of the hollow rod member, whereby the cross-sectional area of the first air circulation path is partially adjusted and changed.
RESIN CONTAINER MANUFACTURING APPARATUS, TEMPERATURE ADJUSTING DEVICE, RESIN CONTAINER MANUFACTURING METHOD, AND TEMPERATURE ADJUSTING METHOD
A blow molding device in which a preform is injection-molded, the injection-molded preform is temperature-controlled by a temperature adjusting unit, and the temperature-adjusted preform is blow-molded, wherein the temperature adjusting unit has a multistage structure in which an uppermost stage has the highest temperature structure, and the mold surface temperatures of lower stages and other than the uppermost stage are set to be 10? C. or more lower than the glass transition temperature of the preform.
PRESSURIZED PLURAL NESTED PREFORM ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A plural preform assembly having nested preforms with an inner preform and an outer preform. The preforms are sealably joined together, defining a volume between the preforms. Propellant is disposed in the volume between the preforms. The preforms are later blow molded to provide a bag in bottle, bottle in bottle or similar container. The propellant charge is already present when blow molded, preventing the need for a later propellant filling step.
