BLEEDER CORD AFFIXING DEVICE AND METHOD
A bleeder cord affixing device is made up of an affixing roller extending in a width direction of the treatment member and adapted to be pressed into the treatment member being moved, thereby to be rotated; and a roller moving mechanism that moves the affixing roller to and away from the treatment member. The roller moving mechanism operates to move the affixing roller to a pressed position urged to the treatment member, with a result that the affixing roller is caused to be rotated due to the movement of the treatment member at the pressed position and attaches the rubber member to the treatment member under the pressing force, and then presses the bleeder cords onto the treatment member to continuously affix the bleeder cords onto the surface of the treatment member.
JOINING A TYRE BASE LAYER
A method of providing a join between a first tyre base layer end portion and a second tyre base layer end portion, the method comprising: providing a first length of tyre base layer comprising a first end portion, a first main portion, and a first pair of stiffening elements; providing a second length of tyre base layer comprising a second end portion, second main portion and a second pair of stiffening elements; joining together the first end portion and the second end portion such that each of the stiffening elements of the first pair of stiffening elements align with a corresponding stiffening element of the second pair of stiffening elements.
TIRE BELT MANUFACTURING APPARATUS
A tire belt manufacturing apparatus of the present invention includes a joining table on which a parallelogram rubber member is to be placed and that moves the rubber member to a front side in a first direction, and a joining device that joins sides of the rubber members. A conveyer that conveys the rubber member to a back side of a joining position in the first direction in the joining table includes a plurality of conveyer belts, and the plurality of conveyer belts is disposed in such a stepwise manner that the conveyer belt disposed closer to one side in a second direction is located closer to the front side in the first direction.
