The invention relates to an applicator unit, a tire building device and a method for applying a strip to a drum, wherein the applicator unit comprises an applicator roller and a cutter, wherein the applicator roller comprises a roller body that is rotatable about a roller axis for applying the strip to the drum in an application direction perpendicular to said roller axis, wherein the applicator roller and the cutter are configured to cooperate for cutting the strip on the applicator roller along a helical cutting path about the roller axis.
Apparatus for counting textile cords of tire reinforcement belt
An apparatus for counting textile cords in a tire reinforcement belt by cutting the reinforcement belt into a plurality of belt units and successively measuring the number of textile cords in each belt unit is provided. The apparatus includes a feed roller having wound therearound a reinforcement belt on which textile cords are arranged along a longitudinal direction of the reinforcement belt; one or more take-up rollers configured to collect the reinforcement belt from the feed roller; a plurality of guide rollers interposed between the take-up rollers and configured to support a top surface or a bottom surface of the reinforcement belt; one or more light sources, each configured to emit a line of light onto a surface of the reinforcement belt that is passing around the guide rollers; and one or more image sensors configured to capture images reflected off the surface of the reinforcement belt.
CUTTING DEVICE AND PLY CUTTING METHOD USING SAME
To accurately cut a ply for a tire. It is a cutting device 1 for cutting a ply 10 for a tire in which a plurality of cords 12 parallelly arranged at fixed pitches are coated with an unvulcanized topping rubber 10. It has a pitch increasing means 2 for increasing the pitches of the cords 12 by pressing the ply 10 from a second surface 10b side to a first surface 10b side of the ply 10 so as to stretch the ply 10 toward the first surface 10a side; and a ply cutting means 3 disposed on the first surface 10a side of the ply 10, for cutting the stretched portion of the ply 10 along the cords 12.
APPLICATOR UNIT, TIRE BUILDING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR APPLYING A STRIP TO A DRUM
The invention relates to an applicator unit, a tire building device and a method for applying a strip to a drum, wherein the applicator unit comprises an applicator roller and a cutter, wherein the applicator roller comprises a roller body that is rotatable about a roller axis for applying the strip to the drum in an application direction perpendicular to said roller axis, wherein the applicator roller and the cutter are configured to cooperate for cutting the strip on the applicator roller along a helical cutting path about the roller axis.
Method for manufacturing band-like cut member, and device for cutting band-like member
(N+1) band-like cut members are manufactured by cutting a band-like member N times along the length direction of the reinforcing cords. At such time, cutting positions are set at locations in the width direction of the band-like member from a first end toward a second end, and cuts are made in the band-like member on the basis of the cutting positions. Setting the cutting positions includes: a step A in which cutting positions of the band-like member are set M times (where M is a natural number less than N) for every fixed first number of reinforcing cords; and a step B in which a second number of the reinforcing cords is set within an allowable number range, and the cutting positions are set at (NM) locations using the second number such that band-like cut members having the second number of reinforcing cords are continuously produced.
Cutting device and method for cutting a strip and production line for applying an apex to a bead
Disclosed is a cutting device for cutting a continuous length of a strip, in particular an apex for tire building, wherein the cutting device has a conveyor for conveying the strip in a transport direction in a support plane and a knife for cutting through the strip along a cutting line transverse to the transport direction. The cutting device further includes a positioning device for pushing the strip in a positioning direction up to a longitudinal reference line at or near the cutting line.
Apparatus and method for correcting misalignment of a strip
Disclosed is an apparatus and method for correcting misalignment of a strip, wherein the apparatus includes a correction device with an alignment surface for supporting a strip in a support plane, wherein the support plane extends at a support angle with respect to a first vertical plane in a range of five to thirty degrees, wherein the support plane intersects with a second vertical plane that is perpendicular to the first vertical plane at an intersecting line, wherein the correction device further includes one or more correction elements for exerting a displacement force onto said strip in a correction direction parallel to the support plane and transverse to the intersecting line.
Device for cutting and transferring a strip for the assembly of a tire
Device for cutting and transferring a length of strip let off a continuous strip, comprising a first face and a second face to be laid on a rotary receiving surface and containing a cutting means to separate the said length from the continuous strip along a cutting line, a telescopic conveyor belt, arranged in a longitudinal direction between the cutting means and the receiving surface, to receive the length of strip via the first face, a first half-anvil, upstream of the cutting line, and comprising holding means to grasp the strip via the first face, a transporter, having holding means to grasp the front edge or rear edge of the length of strip via the second face, the transporter able to move in the longitudinal direction.
