The preform has a total weight less than 7 grams.
BI-DIRECTIONALLY ORIENTED MULTILAYER FILM
A multilayer film includes an inner layer system having a first surface and a second surface; a first skin layer bound to the inner layer system at the first surface of the inner layer system; and a second skin layer bound to the inner layer system at the second surface of the inner layer system. The inner layer system contains ≥50.0 wt % of a first ethylene-based polymer being a high-density polyethylene having a density of ≥940 and ≤970 kg/m.sup.3; and one or both of the first or the second skin layer(s) is a sealing layer including a second ethylene-based polymer being a linear low-density polyethylene comprising polymeric moieties derived from ethylene and from 1-hexene or 1-octene, having a density of ≥890 and ≤915 kg/m.sup.3. The multilayer film is a bi-directionally oriented film, wherein the orientation in both directions is introduced in the solid state.
WOVEN IRRIGATION TUBING, APPARATUS AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
Woven irrigation tubing comprises a woven, extrusion coated & laminated tube formed of a high density polyethylene (HDPE) outer layer, a low density polyethylene (LDPE) middle layer and a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) inner layer. The finished tubing is treated for ultraviolet resistance. The tubing is tied off at a distal end with a proximal end connected to a pressurized irrigation source. Watering holes are created in the tubing at spaced intervals and the resulting water streams are directed into parallel plowed furrows. The tubing is completely recyclable. The tubing is formed by manufacturing tape for the woven outer tubing cover, stretching the tape along its length to strengthen it, weaving the outer layer from the tape, flattening the woven outer layer, extrusion coating each surface of the outer layer with LDPE, laminating the LLDPE inner layer to the LDPE, reversing and winding the tubing for storage and distribution.

Crystal clear high barrier packaging film
A transparent multilayer coextruded heat shrinkable barrier film is useful for high-value packaging applications such as food and medical device packaging. The transparent multilayer coextruded heat shrinkable barrier film includes first and second outer layers formed using a transparent polyester or polyester copolymer; an inner nanolayer sequence including a plurality of nanolayers a) including ethylene vinyl alcohol, alternating with nanolayers b) including at least one of ethylene ethyl acrylate, low density polyethylene and linear low density polyethylene, each of the nanolayers b) having a degree of crystallinity less than about 45%; and adhesive layers between each of the two outer layers and the inner nanolayer sequence. The film has a light transmittance of at least about 80% and a heat shrunk of at least about ten percent in at least one direction.
Linear low density polyethylene composition suitable for cast film
The instant invention provides a linear low density polyethylene composition suitable for cast film, films made therefrom, and packaging devices comprising one or more such film layers. The linear low density polyethylene composition suitable for cast film according to the present invention comprises an ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer composition having a Comonomer Distribution Constant (CDC) in the range of from 40 to 200, for example from 40 to 150, a vinyl unsaturation of less than 0.12 vinyls per one thousand carbon atoms present in the backbone of the ethylene-based polymer composition; a zero shear viscosity ratio (ZSVR) in the range from 1.2 to 5, for example from 1.5 to 4; a density in the range of from 0.910 to 0.935, for example from 0.915 to 0.925, g/cm.sup.3, a melt index (I.sub.2) in a range of from 1 to 10, for example from 2 to 6 g/10 minutes, a molecular weight distribution (M.sub.w/M.sub.n) in the range of from 2 to 3.5.
METHOD AND FORMULATION FOR ROTOMOULDING RECYCLED POLYMER AND PRODUCTS THEREOF
A rotomoulded product and a method of making a rotomoulded product via rotational moulding, the rotomoulded product including at least two layers of material that form a wall of the product, at least one of the layers including post-consumer recyclate (PCR), and at least one of the layers including virgin PE.
HIGH MODULUS SINGLE-SITE LLDPE
Linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) that is prepared with a single site catalyst has relatively low modulus in comparison to a polyethylene of similar melt index and density made with a conventional Zeigler Natta catalyst. Films that are prepared from polyethylene having a low modulus have a soft and flexible “feel”, which is undesirable for some packaging applications. The present invention provides a method to increase the modulus of single site catalyzed polyethylene.
IN-MOLD FOAM MOLDED ARTICLE, METHOD FOR FORMING THE SAME, AND MOLD FOR USE IN FORMING THE SAME
An in-mold foam molded article has a foam body made from olefin-based resin pre-expanded beads and an insert member having an elongated connecting portion and movement resisting portions provided apart from one another in the elongated connecting portion. The insert member is subjected to insert molding upon in-mold foam molding using the olefin-based resin pre-expanded beads. The foam body has a movement facilitating structure that facilitates relative movement between the insert member and the foam body during shrinkage of the in-mold foam molded article after release from a mold.
RECYCLABLE HEAVY-GAUGE FILMS AND METHODS OF MAKING SAME
Methods of making recyclable heavy-gauge films are provided. The methods of the present disclosure involve bonding the inner layers of a coextruded blown film together such that the film is sufficiently thick enough for it to be oriented in the MDO section using the typical 5:1 orientation ratio and result in a film with twice the gauge typically made by the MDO process (while maintaining acceptable stiffness and dimensional rigidity). Recyclable heavy-gauge films formed by the methods are also provided.
