Fishing tool
The fishing tool includes an elongated member having a handle disposed at a first end thereof. The handle includes an open lower end. Indicia indicating various length measurements are disposed along the length of the elongated member. A scale is disposed within the elongated member, wherein the scale includes a hook operably affixed thereto, the hook extending through the open lower end. A mounting member is removably affixed to an exterior surface of the elongated member, wherein the mounting member can secure the elongated member to a mount.
Ice Fishing Bite Indicator Alert Device
An ice fishing bite indicator alert device for use with a reel having wound fishing line with the device including a housing to be mounted proximate the fishing reel and a movement indicator actuator located on the reel in a position spaced from an axis of rotation of the reel. The housing supports an electrically connected circuit that includes a trigger switch, at least one light source, at least one power source, and an on/off switch, with the trigger switch located within a path of movement of the movement indicator actuator. The electrically connected circuit has an inactivated state and an activated state which are associated with the location of the movement indicator actuator relative to the trigger switch and which control whether the trigger switch enables the power source to provide power to the light. The device also may include a sound source to provide an audible alert.
FISHING ASSEMBLY
A fishing device adapted to be used hands-free and generate an alert when a fish is hooked is ideally suited to be used in confined spaces such as an ice fishing shelter.
FISHING AID DEVICE
A fishing aid device that is a miniature size and doesn't need a battery. The fishing aid device includes a housing; a fishing aid member disposed in the housing; and an actuating assembly disposed in the housing for energizing the fishing aid member.
Systems and methods for wearable devices that determine balance indices
A wearable device for determining balance of a user is provided, comprising a gyroscope, an inertial measurement device, a memory storing instructions, and a processor configured to execute the instructions to perform operations, comprising receiving angular velocity measurements over a period of time from the gyroscope, receiving deviations from the second axis over the period of time from the inertial measurement device, weighting the deviations from the second axis based on directions associated with the deviations, receiving deviations from the third axis over the period of time from the inertial measurement device, weighting the deviations from the third axis based on directions associated with the deviations, and based on the angular velocity measurements, the weighted deviations from the second axis, and the weighted deviations from the third axis, determining an index associated with a left side of the user and an index associated with a right side of the user.
Method to determine and share angling events and corresponding location data
Provided herein is a method to communicate angling related information among users. The method includes determining a first angling event and transmitting the angling event to a recreation monitoring platform. The method further includes allowing a second user to receive the angling events of the first user.
FISH HOOK THREADING ACCESSORY
A fish hook holding device includes a housing having a plurality of openings for insertion of a fishing hook and a plurality of first surfaces each surface disposed in the corresponding opening and a plurality of second surfaces substantially perpendicular to the corresponding first surface. The device includes a spring having a plurality of spring segments adjacent the corresponding first surface, each spring segment urged against the corresponding first surface wherein a point end of a fishing hook may be inserted into the opening and secured between the corresponding spring segment and the housing first surface. Upon insertion of a fish hook into a housing opening, a barb on the fish hook point engages the corresponding second surface, securing the hook in the opening. The hook may be removed by urging the hook toward the housing and rotated to disengage the barb from the second surface.
CAST CONTROL AND DRAG MECHANISM
A fishing rod including a rod body, a free line cast control and drag mechanism operatively connected to a proximal end of the rod body, and a line operatively threaded through the free line cast control and drag mechanism and running through a hollow passageway of the rod body and out a distal end. A method of fishing with the fishing rod by casting the line out of the distal end of the rod body onto a body of water, detecting that a fish is on the line, and pulling the line through the proximal end of the rod body and through the free line cast control and drag mechanism.
On-line multiplayer gaming system for real-world angling events
Provided herein is an on-line multiplayer gaming system to score real-world angling events of multiple players. The system includes a first angling event sensing device, processor, and a gaming application on a first mobile device in communication with a recreation monitoring platform. The system further includes a second angling event sensing device, processor, and a second gaming application on a second mobile device in communication with the recreation monitoring platform. The recreation monitoring platform calculates scores for the first and second player based on data from their respective angling event sensing device.
Method and device to prevent tangling of a fishing line
A fishing accessory for preventing the tangling of a fishing line on a fishing pole comprising a base attachable to the fishing pole and an adjustable guide member. The adjustable guide member is movable from a first position wherein a portion of the guide member contacts a guide surface of the base to a position wherein the portion of the guide member is positioned distant from the guide surface. The fishing accessory includes an adjustment member extending from the guide member engaged with an opening in the base wherein moving the adjustment member in one direction moves the guide member away from the guide surface and moving the adjustment member in the opposite direction moves the guide member closer to the guide surface. The position of the guide member is adjustable toward and away from the guide surface to accommodate a specific diameter fishing line.
