Illuminating fishing rod
An illuminating fishing rod, including a main body to facilitate fishing, an illumination unit disposed on at least a portion of the main body to illuminate a surrounding area thereof, and a power button disposed on at least a portion of the main body to turn on the illumination unit in response to depressing the power button a first time, and turn off the illumination unit in response to depressing the power button a second time.
Fishing information management system
A fishing information management system has a fishing rod to which a fishing reel with a spool capable of winding a fishing line is attached, and is configured to include an operation/environment information detector that detects information on operation and environment of operation of fishing tools when in use including the fishing reel and the fishing rod, a calculator that calculates the skill levels in operating the fishing tools from information on the operation of the fishing tools, a storage that stores the detection values and the skill levels, and an indicator that displays at least either of the detection values or the skill levels.
Marine animal netting device and method of use
A marine animal netting device for catching crabs includes a pole, which is selectively extensible. A net is pivotally attached to the pole proximate to a first end of the pole and a handle attached to a second end of the pole. A line is loopedly positioned on and selectively extensible from a reel, which is attached to the handle, through line guides attached to the pole, and past the net. A connector, which is attached to a terminus of the line, is used to connect a bait. The handle is gripped in a hand of a user to manipulate the net and the bait into a body of water to attract a marine animal. The reel is used to reel in the bait and the marine animal into a position over the net, allowing the user to raise the net to catch the marine animal.
FISHING INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, FISHING REEL, FISHING ROD, AND FISHING INFORMATION PROCESSING PROGRAM
A fishing information processing system includes an acquisition unit that acquires prescribed fishing information, an information accumulation controller that accumulates the prescribed information acquired by the acquisition unit as accumulated information, an estimation unit that estimates optimum conditions related to a fishing trip based on the accumulated information accumulated by the information accumulation controller, and a provision unit that provides the optimum conditions estimated by the estimation unit to a user.
FISHING TACKLE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND FISHING TACKLE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM
A fishing tackle management system includes an identification unit for identifying fishing tackle from an image, a determination unit for making determinations regarding prescribed matters regarding to the fishing tackle based on the results of an identification of the identification unit, and a notification unit that controls user notifications of information based on the determination results of the determination unit.
Fishing Rod Ruler
A fishing rod ruler including an elongate flexible body with a number of length markings provided thereon, the elongate flexible body to be at least temporarily applied to a fishing rod.
Smart fishing rod
A smart fishing rod includes a rod assembly, a spring assembly, and a magnetic track assembly. In one embodiment, the rod assembly resembles a modular fishing rod that is used in recreational fishing. The spring assembly is mounted towards the handle portion of the rod assembly. Additionally, the spring assembly includes a hooked spring and a nibble spring. The spring assembly is also operatively connected to a plurality of LED lights to notify a user when a fish is caught or nibbles on the line of the rod assembly. When a fish is caught, the magnet track assembly allows for the reel within the sliding reel holder to move back and forth thereby notifying a user that there is a fish on the line.

Methods and apparatus for threading fishing hooks
The threading apparatus and methods of threading various types of fishing hooks and lures of this invention provide convenience and ease of use applicable to a wide range of hook sizes, shapes, and types. The threading apparatus is fabricated as a single molded part body made from an elastomeric material such as TPE with molded sectors including: slotted clip sector, chamfered frustoconical sector, non-chamfered frustoconical sector, slotted hook eyelet positioning curb, an at least one set of elongated hook shank holding ribs, and an exit sector. The invention provides simplified and enhanced threading operations which include hooks with particularly small eyelets or thin shank diameters, weighted hooks, and for fly hooks (lure hooks) or bodied hooks with particularly short exposed shank length. The facility for enhanced threading operations relies on the molded elastomeric material properties of the threading apparatus body including a durometer range comprehending flexibility without significant deformation memory.
FISHING POLE WITH LED FLASHLIGHT INTEGRATED IN HANDLE
A fishing pole incorporating a light source in the handle. The handle has a hollow section forming a housing for receiving a light source so as to axially emit a light beam opposite toward the rear of the handle. The light source includes a lens, a bulb section, a control section, and a battery section and is water resistant against water immersion. The control section includes an on/off switch. The light source comprises an LED with at least a 100 lumens output.
