An apparatus and method for operably mounting a slider onto a recloseable plastic zipper closure includes a rotor having at least one slider-engaging shoulder; an insertion wedge adjacent to the rotor and sized to slidably accommodate the slider for mounting onto a zipper closure; and a zipper guide member adjacent to the rotor and adjacent to the insertion wedge for guiding and holding a zipper closure while the slider is mounted thereon. The insertion wedge will have a leading edge and a trailing edge and increase in thickness from the leading edge to the trailing edge. The apparatus can be vertically oriented or horizontally oriented.
WASHABLE, WATERPROOF, SEALABLE AND REUSABLE STORAGE BAGS
Disclosed are embodiments of a versatile storage bag and methods of making same. The versatile storage bag may have first and second sidewalls, a double-locking closure mechanism with a first closure element extending along the first sidewall and a second closure element extending along the second sidewall, each closure element having a channel and an elongated member configured for interlocking with one another. A double-seal along three sides of the first sidewall and the second sidewall form a gusset between two seals, leaving an opening through the double-locking closure mechanism. Corner seals may be formed at the corners of the first and second sidewalls, further reinforcing the double-locking closure mechanism for an airtight and hence waterproof seal. The versatile storage bag may be made of a food-grade polyethylene vinyl acetate blend, approximately 90% or less ethylene vinyl acetate and approximately 10% or less polyethylene.
FLEXIBLE ENCLOSURE HAVING A TEAR STRIP
Flexible enclosure includes a front sidewall and a back sidewall and also includes a resealable assembly having first and second zipper segments that are coupled with the front and back sidewalls, respectively. The first and second zipper segments are mateable with and releasable from each other. The flexible enclosure also includes a tear strip having an elongated strip body that extends along the front sidewall. The tear strip also includes a pull tab that is accessible to a user along the front sidewall. The strip body defines an integrated portion of at least one of the first and second zipper segments. The strip body breaks from the resealable assembly and tears an access opening through the front sidewall when the pull tab is pulled away from the front sidewall by the user.
Reclosable pouch with leakproof closure and method of manufacture
A reclosable pouch that includes a receptacle having a storage chamber and a mouth in communication with the storage chamber, a hermetically sealable closure attached to the mouth, the closure including a first zipper strip and a second zipper strip, the first and second zipper strips being fused together in first and second zones situated at respective ends of the closure, a slider mounted to the closure, and a respective pair of round projections arranged back to back on first and second walls of the receptacle. The round projections are separate and distinct from each other and from zipper terminations of the first and second zippers, and the respective pair of round projections prevents further travel of the slider at opposing ends of the closure upon contact with sidewalls of the slider.
CONTAINER BAG WITH MULTIPLE SEALABLE LOCKS
A container body includes a bag body and a resealable lock. The bag body includes first and second layers overlapped with each other, wherein the bag body further has a plurality of sealing portions provided thereat to form first and second sealing pockets discretely provided between the first and second layers, wherein three of the sealing portions are provided at three sealing edges of the first sealing pocket and three of the sealing portions are provided at three sealing edges of the second sealing pocket, such that each of the first sealing pocket and the second sealing pocket has an unsealed edge serving as an elongated opening. The resealable lock includes a plurality of zip lockers provided at the elongated openings of the first and second sealing pockets, wherein each of the first and second sealing pockets is reclosably sealed by the resealable lock.
CLOSURE DEVICE, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A CLOSURE DEVICE AND A PACKAGING CONTAINER HAVING SUCH CLOSURE DEVICE
A closure device for re-closing an opening on a packaging container, which opening having been initially opened within an opening area. The closure device comprises at least a first closure device part arranged on a first side of a first fold axis of the packaging container, and at least a second closure device part arranged on a second side of the first fold axis. The first closure device part is arranged between the opening area and the first fold axis. Further, the first and second closure device parts are provided with mutual lockable members such that the first and second closure device parts may be releasably locked to each other upon folding the packaging container along the first fold axis thereby re-closing the opening in the packaging container. Also, disclosed is a packaging container with a closure device as well as a method of manufacturing the packaging container.
Closure bag with reinforced handles
A polymer bag is disclosed, along with a method of manufacture. The bag is formed of two facing sheets of polymer film, a top edge, a bottom edge, and two side edges. A polymeric zipper is attached to the inside of the facing sheets parallel to and between the top and bottom edges. A respective reinforcing patch is positioned on the inside surface of each of the two respective facing sheets and between the zipper and the top edge. An opening through each reinforcing patch and in the face overlying each patch defines a bag handle.
Zipper tape, bag provided with zipper tape, and method for manufacturing bag provided with zipper tape
There is provided a zipper tape bonded to a bag body having a first surface and a second surface and including: a zipper tape body including a first base strip bonded to the first surface, a second base strip bonded to the first surface with a bonding portion, and engagement portions being mutually engageable and projecting from the first and second base strips, respectively; and a cutting strip provided in a region where the second base strip faces the first surface and does not face the first base strip. The zipper tape body is formed of a resin composition whose main component is a polyolefin resin. The cutting strip is formed of a resin composition whose main component is a polyolefin resin and includes a cutting strip body and a peelable layer layered on the cutting strip body and formed of a resin composition having peelability to a polyolefin resin.
