Method of manufacturing spouted pouch aseptically filled with contents
A method of manufacturing a spouted pouch aseptically filled with contents includes a supplying process, a sterilizing process, a stopper opening process, a filling process, a tightly re-stopping process, and a capping process. The sterilizing process, the stopper opening process, the filling process, and the tightly re-stopping process are performed in an aseptic chamber.
Plant comprising a single facer, and method
The plant includes at least one single facer, having a supporting structure, adapted to receive a corrugating unit provided with a first corrugating roller and a second corrugating roller meshing with each other. The plant also includes a magazine having a plurality of seats for receiving corrugating units and movable along a first guide. Associated with the single facer there is provided a shuttle movable between the single facer and the guide of the magazine, adapted to transfer corrugating units from the single facer to the magazine and vice versa.
Methods of forming laminates
Methods for making tip bonded formed laminates are made from multiple layers of formed substrates made from films which are bonded together at the tips of their formed protrusions. Tip bonded laminates can be designed with greater resistance to bending, improved resilience to compression, and can be patterned for directionally oriented responses to tensile loads. Also, tip bonded formed laminates made from multiple layers of formed substrates can use their layered structure to provide better aesthetics as well as better physical properties such as improved puncture resistance. Tip bonded formed laminates can be configured with thicker portions and designed patterns, which are appealing to consumers. A tip bonded formed laminate can be made from two or more formed substrates and can be used instead of a single, thick, unformed, substrate, so the laminate can use about the same amount of material, while still providing surprising functional benefits.
Films and bags with visually distinct regions and methods of making the same
One or more implementations of a multi-layer film include a first layer non-continuously bonded to a second pigmented layer. The multi-layer film includes an unexpected appearance differing from the appearance of the pigmented layer. In one or more embodiments, the multi-layer film includes a metallic appearance despite the pigmented layer being devoid of metallic pigment. The multi-layer film also includes areas that are visually distinct from areas of the film with the unexpected appearance. The visually-distinct areas comprise areas in which the first layer non-continuously is in intimate contact with the second pigmented layer. The visually-distinct areas have the appearance of the pigmented layer or another appearance. One or more implementations also include methods of making multi-layer films and bags with an unexpected appearance and visually-distinct areas.
Litho laminating machine
The invention relates to a litho laminating machine (10) having a frame (18), an accelerator table (20) mounted to the frame (18) so as to be pivotable around a pivot axis (P), a plurality of accelerator rollers (24) mounted on the table (20), and a motor (42) for driving the accelerator rollers (24), characterized in that the motor (42) is mounted to the frame (18), with a rotatable transmission element (30, 36) being mounted so as to have an axis of rotation which coincides with the pivot axis (P), both the motor (42) and the accelerator rollers (24) being connected to the transmission element (30, 36).
PRODUCTION OF CORRUGATED PAPERBOARDS AND CARDBOARDS COMPRISING CHEMICALLY TREATED PAPER
The present invention relates to a high speed process for making corrugated paperboards and cardboards, said paperboards and cardboards comprising chemically treated paper, and said process using a starch-based adhesive that comprises microfibrillated cellulose. The present invention also relates to corrugated paperboards and cardboards comprising said starch-based adhesive composition comprising microfibrillated cellulose and said chemically treated paper.
Systems and methods for forming corrugated boards with ultrasound
Systems and methods for forming corrugated boards are disclosed. The system includes a single face unit configured to form a single face board having a fluted layer and an outer liner. The system also includes a single face buffer configured to store or hold a length of the single face board. The system has a glue station configured to attach a second outer liner to the single face board to form a single wall board. The system also has an ultrasonic unit configured to apply ultrasonic vibrations to the single wall board. The ultrasonic vibrations are configured to remove moisture from the single wall board, activate, heat, and/or dry an adhesive used to attach the fluted layer and the outer liners, and/or cause the fibers of the fluted layer and the outer liners to weave, intertwine, or otherwise stick together.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETECTING DEFECT IN CORRUGATED CARDBOARD SHEET, DEVICE FOR ELIMINATING DEFECT IN CORRUGATED CARDBOARD SHEET, AND DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING CORRUGATED CARDBOARD SHEET
In a device and a method for detecting a defect in a corrugated cardboard sheet, a device for eliminating a defect in a corrugated cardboard sheet, and a device for manufacturing a corrugated cardboard sheet, the device for detecting a defect in a corrugated cardboard sheet which detects a defect in a wavy core affixed to a liner is provided with: a lighting device that lights the core; an imaging device that captures an image of a lit part in the core; an image processing device that defines a change degree of a light amount value along a conveyance direction of the corrugated cardboard sheet on the basis of the image captured by the imaging device; and a first determination device that compares the change degree of the light amount value with a previously-set first determination value to determine quality.
ADHESIVE HAVING INSULATIVE PROPERTIES
An improved adhesive composition having increased insulative properties is provided. The adhesive composition having improved insulative properties includes a starch component; an alkaline component; sodium tetraborate; water; and a plurality of expandable microspheres. Products having improved insulation capabilities and methods of making the products having improved insulation capabilities are also provided. The present adhesive and products including the adhesive is environmentally friendly.
