ENCAPSULATED FRAGILE INSULATION MATERIALS
A composite board comprising (i) a first foam region; (ii) at least one fragile insulating material; and (iii) a second foam region, where said second foam region is substantially devoid of hydrocarbons.
Sound-absorbing article with perforations in backing, surface coverings comprising same, and systems and methods of making and using same
A sound-absorbing article (e.g., a tufted sound-absorbing article) can comprise a backing having a thickness and a plurality of face fibers associated with the backing. Optionally, the face fibers can comprise a plurality of tufts extending through the backing. The backing can define a plurality of perforations that fully extend through the thickness of the backing and are provided in a pattern to determine an acoustic property of the sound-absorbing article. Within at least a portion of the backing, sequential perforations within the pattern of the plurality of perforations can be spaced center-to-center by between 5 mm and 100 mm.
MOISTURE WICKING AND ABSORBING SADDLE PAD OR PAD FOR SADDLE PAD
An article to be positioned between a rideable animal, such as an equine animal, and a saddle for absorbing and/or wicking perspiration and providing cushioning. The article includes a fibrous layer having generally vertically oriented fibers. The article is a breathable material. The article may be a saddle pad or an insert for a saddle pad.
Non-wicking underlayment board
A non-wicking underlayment board and methods for forming the same. The non-wicking underlayment board includes a foam core formed of closed cell foam with reinforcement layers encapsulated within the foam core. Outer facings formed of mineral coated nonwoven fibers are positioned on opposite faces of the non-wicking underlayment panel. The non-wicking underlayment board is useful for efficient and cost effective installation of barriers and surfaces in water-resistant and waterproof environments.
Cordless heating pad
A heating pad includes a heat pad with an anterior and posterior side. The heat pad includes a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer. The second layer is located in between the first layer and the third layer. The first layer is located on the posterior side, while the third layer is located on the anterior side. The second layer has a wire selectively heated to increase the temperature of the heat pad. The third layer is a reflective material positioned to reflect heat from the second layer towards the first layer, decreasing heat emitted on the anterior side of the heat pad. The heating pad also includes a battery storage section for securing a battery. The battery is in electronical communication with the wire of the heat pad. The heating pad further includes an engagement mechanism to secure the heating pad to a user.
Ultra-light nanotechnology breathable gowns and method of making same
A protective garment is constructed with a fibrous material. The fibrous material comprises a first nonwoven layer, a second nonwoven layer, and a nanofiber layer laminated between the first nonwoven layer and the second nonwoven layer. The fibrous material has a mean flow pore size greater than or equal to about 0.02 micron and less than or equal to about 0.5 microns, and a water vapor transmission rate greater than or equal to about 10000 g/m.sup.2/day and less than or equal to about 100000 g/m.sup.2/day. In a method of making a fibrous layer, a first nonwoven layer and a nanofiber layer are provided. A polyurethane reactive resin is applied to the first nonwoven layer in an amount of 2 to 30 g/m.sup.2. The nanofiber layer is then laminated to the first nonwoven layer applied with the polyurethane reactive resin and pressed to form the fibrous layer.
Sensor device, method of manufacturing sensor device, and vehicle seat
A sensor device has an insulative non-woven fabric and a conductive fabric forming an electrode. The conductive fabric is joined to one surface of the non-woven fabric by at least one of fusion and seaming.
SCOURING PADS
The present invention is a cleaning article including a fibrous filler and a wrapping at least partially surrounding the fibrous filler.
Method for fabricating a filter containing tragacanthin nanofibers
A fabrication method for a water-absorbent filter includes obtaining a homogenized tragacanth suspension by dissolving tragacanth in a solvent, where the solvent may include distilled water, ethyl acetate, acetic acid, and formic acid, obtaining a support layer by coating a stainless steel mesh with a thin layer of a hydrophobic polymer, coating a stainless steel mesh with the thin layer of the hydrophobic polymer comprising electrospinning a hydrophobic polymer solution onto the stainless steel mesh, forming a tragacanth nanofibrous web on the support layer by electrospinning the homogenized tragacanth suspension onto the support layer, and cross-linking the tragacanth nanofibrous web by exposing the tragacanth nanofibrous web to a saturated vapor of a cross-linking agent.
Laminated acoustic absorption member
A laminated acoustic absorption member that includes at least a first fiber layer and a second fiber layer, as well as at least one substrate layer present between the first fiber layer and the second fiber layer, wherein: the first fiber layer has an average flow pore diameter of 0.5-10 μm and a basis weight of 0.1-200 g/m.sup.2; the second fiber layer has an average flow pore diameter of 0.5-10 μm, the average flow pore diameter of the second fiber layer being equal to or less than that of the first fiber layer, and also has a basis weight of 0.1-200 g/m.sup.2; the substrate layer has an air permeability of 40 cc/cm.sup.2.Math.s or greater as measured by the Frazier method, and a basis weight of 1-700 g/m.sup.2; and the first fiber layer and the second fiber layer are disposed on a sound-incidence side and a sound-transmission side, respectively.
