SWITCHABLE LAMINATED GLAZING WITH IMPROVED BUS BAR
A switchable laminated glazing with improved bus bar that solves the problem of inhomogeneities and reduce the cost of its fabrication by providing a laminated glazing that comprise a switchable layer (14) that has an active material sandwiched between two conductive coated plastic layers (8), at least two bus bars (20) in electrical contact with the respective conductive coated plastic layer (8), and at least two pliable conductive media (12), each of them between the respective coated plastic layer (8) and bus bar (20). The area covered by pliable conductive medias (12) is substantially less than the area covered by bus bars (20). The invention provides an improved lower cost bus bar by sparing use of a pliable conductive media and by using a pliable conductive media in different kind of configurations.
LAMINATED GLAZING
Methods of making a laminated glazing having reduced optical distortion when installed in a vehicle are described. The laminated glazing has first and second sheets of glazing material each separately shaped between a pair of shaping members that are then laminated together. The position for bending the first sheet of glazing material may be deliberately offset from the position for bending the second sheet of glazing material. During the lamination step, the first sheet of glazing material may be displaced relative to the second sheet of glazing material by a lateral and/or longitudinal positional displacement. The first and/or second sheet of glazing material may have been cut such that after lamination at least a portion of the peripheral edges thereof are aligned. Apparatus for shaping a sheet of glazing material for carrying out the aforementioned methods is also described, as is a resulting laminated glazing.
IONOMER INTERLAYER WITH ENHANCED ADHESION PROPERTIES
Provided is a sodium-neutralized ethylene acid copolymer ionomer composition containing a specified silane additive in a specified amount and having enhanced adhesion properties to glass, a masterbatch composition suitable for producing such ionomer composition, an interlayer made from such ionomer composition, and a glass laminate comprising such interlayer.
LAMINATED GLASS HAVING AREAS WITH DIFFERENT REFRACTIVE INDICES
A laminated glass capable of producing an observable pattern when edge-illuminated contains two sheets of glass adhered by an adhesive film of at least one film B containing a polyvinyl acetal PB and at least one plasticizer WB; and at least one film A or an area thereof containing a polyvinyl acetal PA and optionally at least one plasticizer WA, wherein the refractive indices of film A and film B differ by at least 0.0002.
SPACER DEVICE FOR A SYSTEM FOR LAMINATING
A spacing device for a system for laminating a laminate, in particular photovoltaic modules. The system includes a membrane holder adapted to apply a membrane to the laminate under pressure for lamination. The spacing device includes a circulating belt and a plurality of spacing members connected to the band and configured to at least partially form a frame for the laminate in at least a portion of the circulating belt and thereby suppress edge compression of the laminate during lamination.
FLEXIBLE HYBRID COVER WINDOW AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SAME
Proposed are a hybrid flexible cover window and a method of manufacturing the same. The hybrid flexible cover window includes a flat portion formed on a flat area of a flexible display and a folding portion which is formed in succession to the flat portion and formed in a folding area of the flexible display. The hybrid flexible cover window includes a substrate, a transparent polyimide layer formed on the glass substrate, and an adhesive buffer layer formed between the glass substrate and the TPI layer, in which the TPI layer has a UV cut-off wavelength of less than 380 nm.
VEHICLE WINDOW HAVING AN ANISOTROPIC LIGHT SENSOR
A vehicle window with an anisotropic light sensor, has a first glass layer and a second glass layer, wherein an arrangement of light-sensitive elements is arranged, substantially parallel to the first glass layer, between the first glass layer and the second glass layer, wherein the pane furthermore has an aperture such that light can shine through the second glass layer and the aperture onto at least one of the light-sensitive elements, wherein, depending on the direction of incident light, the sensor provides a signal that is indicative of the direction, wherein the arrangement of light-sensitive elements has a camera chip and wherein the arrangement of light-sensitive elements is arranged on a flexible film.
LAMINATED GLASS PANE AND METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION THEREOF
A laminated glass pane includes an outer glass pane and an inner glass pane, which are firmly connected to each other by a thermoplastic intermediate layer, wherein the intermediate layer includes at least one first electric functional element and at least one second electric functional element, wherein at least one metallic protective layer is arranged between the two electric functional elements, wherein the at least one first electric functional element is a display and/or the at least one second electric functional element is a PDLC film and/or a light source.
