Barrier films
Various polymeric barrier compositions are described which when formed into films, are useful in reducing transmission of odors. The films can be incorporated into a wide range of products such as multilayer barrier films used in medical applications and particularly in ostomy appliances. In certain versions, the films include semi-crystalline cyclic olefin copolymers.
COMPOSTABLE LID FOR SEALING A CAPSULE AND A CAPSULE SEALED BY THE LID
Compostable lid for sealing a beverage capsule, composed of a multi-layer complex comprising at least: —a non-woven material containing fibres, at least 50% of which by weight are polylactic acid fibres (PLA), —a film containing a polyhydroxyalcanoate (PHA) polymer other than PLA.
PEELABLE FILM
A first layer that is a peelable film includes a bonding sublayer and a sealing sublayer. The bonding sublayer includes a non-neutralized ethylene acid copolymer, The scaling sublayer includes a first polyethylene and an ethylene acid copolymer or blends thereof. The first layer is adapted to withstand exposure to sterilization processes and the first layer can be essentially free of blistering.
ANTIMICROBIAL, ANTIBACTERIAL, AND ANTI-FUNGAL REVERSIBLE ATHLETIC BAG WITH DUAL PURPOSE STRAP
An athletic bag comprising a body having antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antifungal properties on one or both sides of the body and a detachable dual-purpose carrying strap that may also serve as fitness equipment is provided. The bag may be reversible. The body may further comprise a fabric having a silver-treated coating. The body may also further comprise a fabric having an embedded silver component. The bag may also include at least one insert to store various items. The bag may also include a thermal pouch, a compartment to visually and audibly display electronic devices, and an antibacterial monitor that measures the growth of bacteria in the bag. The bag may also include an attachment for an exercise mat.
Corrugated board and container
A multilayer corrugated board which can be smoothly bent from a planar state to a curved state without failure even at small radii of curvature, as well as a container made from such board. The materials and mechanical properties of the layers of the board are selected such that each layer inward of the outermost layer in the bent state buckles simultaneously and reversibly between each flute of the adjacent innermost corrugated layer.
Polymer barrier liminate tube for container
It is related to a packaging tube in which a laminate body uses a multilayer barrier film having an ethylene copolymer and a vinyl alcohol (EVOH) layer, and this tube can be used for contents such as cosmetics, hair-dye products, toothpastes, pharmaceutical creams, and so on. It is to provide a bounce-back property, preservation of contents and a flavor barrier property to a tube by forming a tube body from a laminate comprising an inner layer of a polyolefin resin, an intermediate layer of a gas-barrier resin and an outer layer of a polyolefin resin.
PACKAGE, GAS BARRIER LAMINATE, AND PACKAGING BODY
A packaging body constituted by a sheet that includes a gas barrier laminate and a sealant; and contents that are accommodated in the packaging body and that contain a sulfur-containing amino acid. The gas barrier laminate comprises: a resin substrate; a first layer containing an inorganic oxide; a second layer containing a carboxylic acid polymer; and a third layer containing a polyvalent metal compound and a resin. The resin substrate, the first layer, the second layer, and the third layer are layered in this order from the outside to the inside of the packaging body. The thickness of the third layer is 0.1 μm or more. The sulfur content of the second layer is 1.0 atm % or less.
PROCESS TO MANUFACTURE MULTILAYER LAMINATED PACKAGING MATERIAL
The invention refers to a process to manufacture multilayer laminated packaging material. More particularly, the invention relates to processes to manufacture multilayer laminated packaging material used to produce carton packages, in especially aseptic carton packages containing liquid or pasty products. A plurality of layers is continuously laminated onto a non-printable face of a paperboard layer to form a semi-finished web of multilayer laminated packaging material. Next, the inner face of a translucent thermoplastic protective material having a commercial artwork printed onto its printable inner face is laminated onto the not printed printable face of said semi-finished web of multilayer laminated packaging material, wherein the artwork with numbers, letters and drawings is printed in a reverse position regarding to what was supposed to be when seeing the artwork from the opposite not printed outer face of said translucent thermoplastic protective material.
Film for odor suppression
The present disclosure provides a film. In an embodiment, a film for suppressing odors is provided and includes a composition of (A) from 85 wt % to 99 wt % of a thermoplastic polymer and (B) from 15 wt % to 1 wt % of an odor suppressant. The odor suppressant is a blend composed of (Bi) particles of zinc oxide and (Bii) zinc ionomer. The zinc oxide particles (Bi) have a D50 particle size from 100 nm to 3000 nm, a surface area from 1 m.sup.2/g to 9 m.sup.2/g, and a porosity less than 0.020 m.sup.3/g. The composition has a methyl mercaptan odor suppression value less than 70 at 3 days exposure to methyl mercaptan as measured in accordance with ASTM D5504-12.
Stand-up pouch for retort
An object of the present invention is to provide a stand-up pouch for retort which has a high rate of gas barrier property recovery after retort processing and can stably retain high gas barrier properties. The stand-up pouch for retort of the invention comprises a laminate which comprises a base film and, disposed over one surface of the base film, a polyamide resin layer, a saponified ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer layer, and a heat-sealing resin layer, wherein the polyamide resin layer adjoins the saponified ethylene-vinyl ester copolymer layer.
