Methods, devices, and systems for the fabrication of materials and tissues utilizing electromagnetic radiation
The present invention provides a three-dimensional bioprinter for fabricating cellular constructs such as tissues and organs using electromagnetic radiation (EMR) at or above 405 nm. The bioprinter includes a material deposition device comprising a cartridge for receiving and holding a composition which contains biomaterial that cures after exposure to EMR. The bioprinter also includes an EMR module that emits EMR at a wavelength of about 405 nm or higher. Also provided is a bioprinter cartridge which contains cells and a material curable at a wavelength of about 405 nm or greater. The cells are present in a chamber and are extruded through an orifice to form the cellular construct.

Liquid jet discharge device and liquid jet discharge method
A liquid jet discharge device includes: a narrow tube having a tube shaped body that is open at both ends, and in which a discharge liquid being disposed therein, the discharge liquid contacting at least at an inner face of the narrow tube at a contact angle of less than 90 degrees; a container in which a transmission medium being disposed at a base side thereof where one end of the narrow tube is disposed, so as to enable pressure to be transmitted to the discharge liquid; an adjustment mechanism that causes a liquid surface of the discharge liquid inside the narrow tube and an interface of the transmission medium outside the narrow tube and inside the container to be staggered in position along an axial direction of the narrow tube; and a generation mechanism that generates a pressure wave in the transmission medium such that a liquid jet is discharged from the discharge liquid inside the narrow tube.

INKJET PRINTING SYSTEMS AND TECHNIQUES FOR LIGHT-EMITTING DEVICES WITH ENHANCED LIGHT OUTCOUPLING
The present teachings relate to various embodiments of ink compositions, which once printed and cured on a substrate form a continuous composite film layer that includes a first pattern of polymeric areas having a first refractive index (RI) interspersed within a second pattern of polymeric areas having an RI that is higher in comparison to the RI of the first pattern of polymeric areas. Various embodiments of composite thin films so formed on a substrate can be tuned so as to enhance light outcoupling or extraction for various light-emitting devices of the present teachings, such as, but not limited by, an OLED display or lighting device.
