One object is to provide a lightweight and low-cost fixing structure for a fishing line guide which allows simple and secure fixing and a fishing rod employing the fixing structure. The fixing structure for a fishing line guide according to the present invention comprises: a fishing line guide including an opening for guiding a fishing line and a circular portion having an insertion hole through which the fishing line is to be passed; and two fixing pipes contacting a front surface and a rear surface of the circular portion, wherein the circular portion and end surfaces of the fixing pipes are inclined at a same angle with respect to a vertical plane orthogonal to an axial direction of the fishing rod.

The fishing rod includes a molded rod section having a surface and the fitting placed on the surface, the fitting having a securing portion and being secured to the surface with a sheet member made of a thermosetting resin that is wound on the securing portion and heat-cured. The sheet member includes a first sheet member and a second sheet member made of thermosetting resins, the first sheet member being placed or wound on the rod section, the second sheet member being wound over the first sheet member and the securing portion placed on the first sheet member. The thermosetting resins of the first sheet member and the second sheet member have different curing temperatures from each other.

In a fishing rod constituted by a rod and a grip which supports a base end side thereof, the grip having a front grip and a rear grip, there are provided a grip frame extending from a rear end part of the rear grip and a guide pipe into which the grip frame is movably inserted. A length of the grip varies in correspondence with a movement of the grip frame.

The main length includes a handle section and a real seat section, wherein the handle section has a first outer diameter and the reel seat section has a second outer diameter, wherein the first outer diameter is greater than the second outer diameter thereby forming a shoulder at a transition between the handle section and reel seat section. The handle section includes a plurality of grooves longitudinally extending and equally spaced about a circumference of at least a portion of the handle section. The reel seat section includes retaining means for securing a fishing reel therein.
