Liquid Ejecting Apparatus and Cleaning Device
A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting head which ejects liquid from a nozzle that is disposed on a nozzle surface, a wiping member with a lengthwise shape that is able to contact the nozzle surface, a contact portion which is able to contact the opposite side from a side at which the wiping member contacts the nozzle surface, and a transport mechanism which transports the wiping member, in which the contact portion has a first contact portion which is separated from the wiping member when the wiping member is transported by the transport mechanism and which contacts the wiping member when the wiping member is caused to contact the nozzle surface, and a second contact portion which contacts the wiping member when the wiping member is transported by the transport mechanism.
Substrate treating apparatus and inkjet apparatus
Disclosed is a substrate treating apparatus. The substrate treating apparatus may include a stage including an accommodation area, onto or from which a substrate is loaded or unloaded, and a treatment area, in which the substrate is treated, a liquid discharge head that supplies a treatment liquid to the substrate, and a liquid receiving part that receives the treatment liquid pre-discharged by the liquid discharge head in the treatment area.
RECORDING APPARATUS
A recording apparatus includes a carriage, a medium support member, a gap switching unit, and a maintenance unit. The carriage includes a recording head configured to record on a medium. The medium support member is provided at a position facing the recording head and is configured to support the medium. The gap switching unit is configured to switch a gap between the medium support member and the recording head. The maintenance unit is configured to perform maintenance on the recording head. The gap switching unit and the maintenance unit are driven by a common motor.
INKJET PRINTING APPARATUS AND RECOVERY METHOD
Provided are an inkjet printing apparatus and a recovery method capable of suppressing ink thickening in the ejection openings in the suction process for the ejection openings. A vacuum wiper is moved being in contact with the ejection opening surface of the print head to perform a vacuum wiping process for the arrayed ejection openings sequentially. Ink is circulated in flow paths including the flow paths communicating with the ejection openings for which the vacuum wiping process has been finished.
WIPING METHOD AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A wiping method for wiping a nozzle surface of a liquid discharge head includes the step of relatively moving the liquid discharge head and a wiper impregnated with a cleaning fluid. The cleaning fluid contains a lactone compound in an amount of 5% by mass or more. The wiper includes a first layer configured to contact the nozzle surface and one or more layers other than the first layer. The first layer has a thickness of t1, the one or more layers other than the first layer have a total thickness of t2, and t1 is smaller than t2. A void ratio of the first layer is smaller than a void ratio of at least one of the one or more layers other than the first layer.
MAINTENANCE OF PRINTING DEVICES
Determining a need for maintenance of a printing device in large format printing is described in which historical performance data including ink consumption data relating to the printing device may be obtained. Threshold data based on the obtained historical performance data indicative of a need for maintenance of the printing device may be identified. Current performance data of the printing device may be monitored and may be used to determine whether the current performance data exceeds the identified threshold data indicative of a need for maintenance of the printing device.
Inkjet printing device and inkjet printing method
An inkjet printing device including: an ink storage unit configured to store an ink; an ejection head having a nozzle configured to eject the ink to a printing material; a heating unit configured to heat the printing material; and a washing unit configured to wash a nozzle-formed surface of the head with a washing liquid, wherein the ink is a clear ink including a resin, the device has a low gloss printing mode that is a printing mode for applying low gloss and a high gloss printing mode that is a printing mode for applying high gloss, and the inkjet printing device satisfies: T.sub.matte>T.sub.gloss where T.sub.matte (degrees Celsius) is a temperature of the heating unit when printing is performed with the low gloss printing mode, and T.sub.gloss (degrees Celsius) is a temperature of the heating unit when printing is performed with the high gloss printing mode.
CAPPING DEVICE AND LIQUID EJECTION APPARATUS
A capping device includes a cap configured to form a closed space by contacting a liquid ejection head configured to eject liquid from a nozzle in a first direction having a horizontal direction component and a gravity direction component, the nozzle opening up into the closed space, and a cap moving section configured to move the cap in a second direction different from the first direction while holding the cap, wherein the second direction has a gravity direction component, the cap moving section has a guide section extending in the second direction, and the cap has a guided section guided by the guide section and is configured to be attachable to and detachable from the cap moving section from an upper end of the guide section.
