PRINT DEVICE
A print device includes a processor and a memory. The memory storing computer-readable instructions which, when executed by the processor, perform processes. The processes include covering processing controlling a cap into a covering state in which the cap covers a nozzle. The processes include first purge processing purging, in a state in which the cap is in the covering state and a supply valve is closed, an ink from the nozzle by operating a pump at a first rotation speed. The processes include injection processing injecting, after the first purge processing and in a state in which the cap is in the covering state and the supply valve is open, the cleaning liquid into the interior of the cap by operating the pump at a second rotation speed to cause the cleaning liquid to soak a nozzle face.
MAINTENANCE DEVICE AND INKJET RECORDING DEVICE
Provided is a maintenance device that performs maintenance of a recording head with a nozzle face on which an opening of a nozzle for ink discharge is provided. The maintenance device includes a scraper that scrapes ink that adheres to the nozzle face, and an ink receiver that receives ejected ink that is ejected through the nozzle and scraped ink that is scraped off by the scraper. The ink receiver includes a first face and a second face that are each inclined with respect to a horizontal plane. The ink receiver receives the ejected ink at least on the first face of the first face and the second face, and receives the scraped ink on the second face. A flowability of ink on the second face is greater than a flowability of ink on the second face.
LIQUID SUPPLY DEVICE, PRINTING APPARATUS AND LIQUID EJECTION SYSTEM
A technique of reducing the possibility that a liquid remains in a buffer chamber is provided. There is provided a liquid supply device configured to supply a liquid to a liquid ejection head. The liquid supply device comprises a liquid containing chamber configured to contain the liquid; an air communication path configured to include a first connection portion at one end that is connected with the liquid containing chamber and an air outlet port at the other end that is open to the atmosphere; and a buffer chamber provided in the middle of the air communication path. The air communication path includes a connection path that is located on a downstream side of the buffer chamber in the air communication path in a flow direction of a fluid from the air outlet port toward the liquid containing chamber and is configured to include a second connection portion at an upstream end connected with the buffer chamber. When the first connection portion is exposed to the liquid in the liquid containing chamber, the second connection portion is placed in a lower area in a vertical direction of the buffer chamber.
Waste liquid box management method, waste liquid box, printer, and waste liquid box management system
A waste liquid box management method sets a type of ink to be contained in a container, for a waste liquid box that includes a coupling portion coupled to a printer, the container containing ink discharged from the printer via the coupling portion, and a storage unit. The waste liquid box management method individually allocates different storage regions, in the storage unit, to a plurality of ink types, writes predetermined type specification data into a selected storage region, that is the storage region allocated to the ink type to be contained in the container, and inhibits writing to the storage region other than the selected storage region in a state in which data other than the type specification data is stored therein.
Cartridge-type inkjet recording device
The objective of the present invention is to provide a cartridge-type inkjet recording device that can accurately and easily connect a cartridge-type replenishing liquid bottle to an inkjet recording device. This cartridge-type inkjet recording device having a liquid reservoir to which a replenishing liquid bottle can be attached/removed is characterized by the liquid reservoir having: a liquid replenishment opening for replenishing liquid from the cartridge-type replenishing liquid bottle; a cam that is provided to the periphery of the liquid replenishment opening, engages a portion of the cartridge-type replenishing liquid bottle, and moves the cartridge-type replenishing liquid bottle in the vertical direction; and a cam operation section that operates the cam.
Liquid absorbing structure and liquid droplet ejecting apparatus
The liquid absorbing structure includes: a liquid absorber having a fiber and a water-absorbent resin capable of absorbing liquid; and a container having a supply port through which the liquid is supplied and a storage space in which the liquid absorber is stored. The liquid absorber contains a first liquid absorber and a second liquid absorber that are different in density of at least one of the fiber and the water-absorbent resin. The first liquid absorber and the second liquid absorber are disposed at different positions in the container.
Inkjet recording apparatus for recording images by ejecting ink on recording media
Provided is an inkjet recording apparatus that reduces clogging of nozzles, while at the same time avoid a decrease in productivity of the recording medium, and reduces situations in which the recording medium becomes stained due to the staining of opening portions and splashing due to ink ejected during flushing. A conveyor belt of the inkjet recording apparatus has a plurality of opening portion groups. The control unit determines the pattern of the plurality of opening portion groups used for flushing in one cycle of the conveyor belt according to the size of the recording medium. The control unit causes the recording medium to be supplied from the recording medium supply unit between the plurality of opening groups arranged in the conveying direction in the above pattern on the conveying belt and at positions separated from the opening portion groups by a specific distance or more.
Liquid absorber
A liquid absorber including a liquid absorbent body configured to include a small piece aggregate including a plurality of small pieces having a fiber base material containing a fiber and a water absorbent resin, and a container that includes a wall portion defining a storage space accommodating the liquid absorbent body, and a protrusion portion provided to protrude from the wall portion toward the storage space, in which when a minimum separation distance between a tip end of the protrusion portion and a structure different from the protrusion portion is L1, and an average value of a distance between farthest ends of the small piece is L2, 0<L1/L2≤1.80 is satisfied.
RECORDING DEVICE
A printer includes a recording unit, a platen unit, a maintenance tank, and a guide unit. The recording unit ejects ink onto a medium. The platen unit includes a support surface that supports the medium and a discard portion in which waste ink is discarded. The maintenance tank recovers the waste ink. The guide unit has a receiving surface, and guides the waste ink to the maintenance tank. Second surface energy is larger than first surface energy when the first surface energy indicates surface energy at a first position on the receiving surface with respect to the waste ink and the second surface energy indicates surface energy at a second position closer to the maintenance tank than the first position.
PRESSURE CONTROL UNIT AND METHOD OF DRYING THE SAME
To reduce the amount of a liquid that remains in a boundary portion between a pressure receiving plate and a flexible member. Provides is a pressure control unit including a pressure chamber configured, at least a part of a wall forming the pressure chamber being formed of a flexible member; a flow inlet; a flow outlet; a pressure receiving plate, which is provided on an inner surface of the flexible member, and is to be displaced toward an inner side and an outer side of the pressure chamber; a valve member configured to open and close the flow inlet in accordance with the displacement of the pressure receiving plate; and an internal flow passage, which extends in a boundary portion between the pressure receiving plate and the flexible member along the inner surface of the flexible member, and is opened on a side surface of the pressure receiving plate.
