11427006 · 2022-08-30 · ·

For appropriate execution of processing depending on a condition in an image printing apparatus, the image printing apparatus includes a mounting unit on which a tank is mountable, a print head, a sub tank which receives ink from the tank and supplies the ink to the print head, and a refilling unit which refills the sub tank with ink from the tank. In a case where a tank mounted on the mounting unit is noncompliant with a predetermined condition, the control unit prevents the refilling unit from refilling the sub tank with ink from the tank. In contrast, in a case where a tank mounted on the mounting unit is compliant with the predetermined condition, the control unit causes the refilling unit to refill the sub tank with ink from the tank.

PRINT CONDITION SETTING METHOD AND PRINT CONDITION SETTING SYSTEM

A print condition setting method for setting a print condition in a printer includes: an ink type learning step of executing machine learning of an ink type discriminator using physical property information of ink and an ink type identifier; a medium type learning step of executing machine learning of a medium type discriminator using characteristic information of a medium and medium type identification information; and a print condition setting step of setting the print condition according to an ink type discriminated by the ink type discriminator and a medium type discriminated by the medium type discriminator.

An inkjet printer includes a head including a nozzle configured to eject pigment ink supplied from a tank during a print operation and during a purge operation and a purge mechanism. A controller configured to determine whether to control the purge mechanism to perform the purge operation for discharging the pigment ink from the nozzle and, when determining to control the purge mechanism to perform the purge operation, determine a remaining amount of the pigment ink remaining in the tank. The controller is configured to determine a discharge amount to be discharged from the nozzle when performing the purge operation based on the remaining amount of the pigment ink remaining in the tank and control the purge mechanism to perform the purge operation based on the discharge amount.

A flow rate detecting device according to an aspect of the invention includes a pipe which includes a bent portion and through which fluid is passed; two temperature detecting portions which detect the temperature of the fluid in the pipe; and a temperature changing portion which changes the temperature of the fluid in the pipe at an intermediate position in which distances between each of the two temperature detecting portions and the intermediate position are equidistant. The intermediate position is positioned in the bent portion in the pipe, and the bent portion is formed to be line symmetric with respect to a straight line passing through the intermediate position.

PRINTHEAD DEVICE INCLUDING SHIPPING FLUID

A printhead device includes firing chambers, nozzles, and shipping fluid. The shipping fluid includes a shipping fluid density and a shipping fluid viscosity greater than a corresponding ink density and ink viscosity of an ink that will be ejected from the firing chambers and through the nozzles.

INK SUPPLY SYSTEM FOR DIGITAL PRINTING DEVICE AND DIGITAL PRINTING DEVICE COMPRISING SAID SYSTEM

Ink supply system (1) for digital printing device comprising: a supply tank (9) suitable for containing ink; a delivery tank (2), in fluid connection with said supply tank (9), suitable for containing ink; one or more delivery conduits (4) suitable for connecting said delivery tank (2) to one or more print heads (100) associatable with said supply system (1); first pressure adjusting means (10) suitable for controlling the pressure inside the delivery tank (2); a supply pump (6) suitable for moving ink from said supply tank (9) to said delivery tank (2); a first level sensor (7) suitable for performing the continuous reading of the level variations inside the delivery tank (2); wherein said supply pump (6) is continuously feed-back controlled on the basis of the reading of said first level sensor (7) for keeping a pre-defined level inside said delivery tank (2).

ZONAL FIRING SIGNAL ADJUSTMENTS

In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a fluidic die is described. The fluidic die includes a number of zones. Each zone includes a number of sets of fluidic devices. Each fluidic device includes a fluid chamber and a fluid actuator disposed in the chamber. Each fluidic device also includes a sensor to sense a characteristic of the zone and an adjustment device. The adjustment device 1) delays a firing signal received from a previous zone as it passes by each set of fluidic devices and 2) adjusts the firing signal as it enters the zone based on a sensed characteristic.
