IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING METHOD, AND IMAGE FORMING PROGRAM
An image forming apparatus includes: a nozzle head in which nozzles that ejects ink is arranged in a first direction; a moving mechanism that moves a recording medium relative to the nozzle head; an image acquirer that acquires image data; a quantization processor that quantizes density of pixels forming an image based on the image data; a grouping processor that groups adjacent pixel positions into one group in the quantized data; and a rearrangement processor that rearranges a quantized pixel value at each pixel position in the group that is grouped, wherein the grouping processor groups such that a direction intersecting the first direction is set to a second direction, arrangement of groups in the first direction is set to a row, rows is arranged in the second direction, and a row in which an initial position of the row is different at least by one pixel is included.
Inhibiting media deformation
A deposition module within a web press for inhibiting media deformation may include a fluid deposition device located on a side of a media, and a processing device to control the fluid deposition device to selectively apply a wetting agent to the media. The deposition of the wetting agent may be based on the location of content printed on the media as defined by print data.
Information processing apparatus and computer readable medium
An information processing apparatus includes a processor configured to: acquire physical property information on physical properties of a recording medium and on physical properties of an ink to be ejected onto the recording medium and setting information on a setting of a device configured to eject the ink onto the recording medium, the ink including a first ink and a second ink, derive an action amount using the physical property information and the setting information, the action amount relating to an action of the second ink ejected at a position different from a position where the first ink is ejected, the second ink ejected being acted upon by behavior of the first ink, and output the action amount.
Custom product imaging method
A networked product imaging system includes devices that provide the production of imaged goods. Sellers are easily integrated into the network with minimal or no inventory requirements. Customer requirements are provided to a central computing device (CCD) that has two-way communication with a plurality of geographically separated product image forming devices. The central computing device determines specifications for forming the image on the blank product in accordance with the customer's order. The central computing device selects a product image forming device from the plurality of geographically separated product forming devices for fulfilling the order, based upon factors that include the specification of the product image forming device available, the product image forming inventory and the blank product inventory available at the geographic location of the product image forming device. The selected product image forming device forms the image on the blank product at the remote location.
Image-processing apparatus, image-forming apparatus, method of processing image, and storage medium
An image processing apparatus includes one or more processors and one or more memories, the one or more memories including one or more programs. The one or more programs cause the one or more processors (a) to acquire first shape data that represents a three-dimensional shape of unevenness, (b) to generate edge data for specifying a first area that corresponds to an edge of a convex portion and a second area that does not correspond to the edge of the convex potion in the unevenness, based on the first shape data, and (c) to generate, based on the edge data, data to form the first area and not the second area on a recording medium.
Image forming apparatus
When performing on-sheet preliminary ink ejection, a control unit (a) determines a nozzle that performs the on-sheet preliminary ink ejection, (b) randomly selects on a print sheet an ejection position candidate of an ink droplet ejected from the determined nozzle, (c) determines whether the selected ejection position candidate is included by a mask area that includes a postprocessing object, (d1) if the selected ejection position candidate is not included by the mask area, sets as the selected ejection position candidate an ejection position of an ink droplet ejected from the determined nozzle, and (d2) if the selected ejection position candidate is included by the mask area, does not set as the selected ejection position candidate an ejection position of an ink droplet ejected from the determined nozzle and sets an ejection position of an ink droplet ejected from the determined nozzle outside of the mask area.
Control apparatus for printing apparatus, printing method, and storage medium
A printing apparatus prints an image by applying ink to a print surface of an inclined print medium using a print head. A control apparatus for the printing apparatus acquires information on an inclination of the print surface. Based on the information, printing is controlled according to a print condition corresponding to a magnitude of the inclination of the print surface.
IMAGE RECORDING APPARATUS
There is provided an image recording apparatus including: a conveyer; a carriage; a recording head; a memory; and a controller. The controller is configured to cause the conveyer to convey a recording medium in a conveyance direction such that dot recording ranges are partially overlapped with each other in the conveying operation. In a case that a predetermined condition is fulfilled, the controller is configured to cause the recording head to record a dot including a correcting portion by correcting discharge, and in a case that the predetermined condition is not fulfilled, the controller is configured to cause the recording head to record the dot including the correcting portion by ordinary discharge.
INK-JET RECORDING APPARATUS
An ink-jet recording apparatus includes a recording head, an ink reservoir portion, an ink amount sensor, a dot counter, and a control portion. The ink reservoir portion stores ink to he ted to the recording head. The ink amount sensor senses the amount of ink in the ink reservoir portion. The dot counter for measures in a cumulative manner the number of dots in the ink ejected from the recording head. The control portion changes the amount of ink ejected from the recording head based on the difference between a calculated value of the amount of consumed ink as calculated based on the cumulative number of dots measured by the dot counter and a measured value of the amount of consumed ink as determined based on the amount of ink in the ink reservoir portion as sensed by the ink amount sensor.
RECORDING APPARATUS, METHOD, AND MEDIUM
A recording apparatus that causes less degradation of image quality due to blurring caused by dot misalignment between an ink containing a coloring material and a reaction liquid includes a recording unit configured to record an image on a recording medium by applying an ink containing a coloring material and a reaction liquid containing a component that aggregates the coloring material, an acquisition unit configured to acquire multi-valued ink data to apply the ink, and a generating unit configured to generate first multi-valued reaction liquid data based on the multi-valued ink data and, when a tone value of a pixel of interest in the first multi-valued reaction liquid data is lower than a tone value of any one of a plurality of surrounding pixels around the pixel of interest, generate second multi-valued reaction liquid data by increasing the tone value of the pixel of interest.
