PRINTER, STORAGE MEDIUM STORING COMPUTER PROGRAM, AND METHOD OF USING PRINTER

A printer includes an ejection head and a controller. The ejection head includes a nozzle configured to eject sublimation ink to a transfer sheet. The controller is configured to acquire an inspection image indicating transfer unevenness. The transfer unevenness is generated when an image on the transfer sheet is transferred to a recording medium by heat press. The controller is configured to change an image to be formed on the transfer sheet based on the inspection image.

Provided are a control apparatus, an image processing method and a non-transitory recording medium. The control apparatus includes a raster-image processor and a hardware processor that judges whether each of multi-valued pixels forming a source image is colored in one of specific colors, controls the amount of color materials to be used in printing the source image together with a white base, by reducing pixel values of the multi-valued pixels forming the source image and the white base, and converts the multi-valued pixels into two-valued pixels corresponding to colors of the color materials of the source image and two-valued white pixels. The hardware processor uses a matrix of two-valued white pixels corresponding to each of the multi-valued pixels judged as being colored in one of the specific colors, to rearrange at least one of colored two-valued white pixels at colored or uncolored pixel positions in the matrix.

IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS DETERMINING FINALIZED BAND DATA WHICH IS CAPABLE OF BEING PRINTED BY ONE SCANNING OF PRINT HEAD
20180229509 · 2018-08-16 ·

An image processing apparatus extracts provisional band data from image data. The apparatus calculates near white number for a target line. The near white number is number of pairs of first and second pixels. The first pixel is located on the target line, the second pixel is in positionally adjacent relation to the first pixel. At least one of the first pixel and the second pixel is a near white pixel. In a case where a prescribed border condition is met for the target line, the apparatus determines finalized band data so that a finalized band image includes at least part of the provisional band image, and has the target line as a borderline. In a case where a specific condition is met, the apparatus changes the target line to one of a plurality of candidate lines which is not selected as the target line.

Recording device, recording method, and recording unit

A recording device includes a recording unit, a scanning unit, and a recording control unit. The recording unit includes first and second recording parts each having multiple discharge orifice rows that each have multiple discharge orifices arrayed in a predetermined direction. The first recording part and the second recording part are separated from each other in an intersecting direction that intersects the predetermined direction. The scanning unit performs recording scanning by moving the recording unit. The recording control unit performs recording of a region on the recording medium including one edge of the recording medium by the first recording part alone, recording of another region including the other edge of the recording medium by the second recording part alone, and recording of a region in between the two regions using both recording parts.
