First filter is provided on the window, the first filter having a function of restraining transmission of the curing light more compared to transmission of a visible light. Second filter is provided on the first light receiver, the second filter having a function of restraining transmission of the visible light more compared to transmission of the ranging light.
Liquid discharge apparatus having individually controlled irradiators and control method
A liquid discharge apparatus includes a liquid discharge head, an irradiator, a carriage, and a conveyance controller. The liquid discharge head discharges liquid to a recording medium to form a liquid application surface. The irradiator emits active energy rays toward the liquid application surface. The carriage is mounted with the liquid discharge head and the irradiator. The conveyance controller conveys the carriage. The irradiator includes a first irradiator that is provided on one side surface of the carriage in a direction in which the carriage is conveyed and a second irradiator that is provided on another side surface of the carriage in the direction in which the carriage is conveyed. A position of the first irradiator and a position of the second irradiator in a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the carriage is conveyed, on irradiation of the active energy rays, are different from each other.
PRINTING DEVICE
A printing apparatus includes an ink ejector, a dryer, and a melting device. The ink ejector ejects an ink to an object on which a printed record is to be produced. The ink contains a medium and a fixing polymer. The dryer heats the object to expedite evaporation of the medium. The melting device is configured to irradiate the ink on the object with ultraviolet rays to subject the ink to heat that causes the fixing polymer to melt and to fix the ink to the object accordingly.
INK JET PRINTING METHOD, INK JET PRINTING APPARATUS, METHOD OF PRODUCING POROUS BODY, AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING POROUS BODY
Provided is an ink jet printing method including: a first step of ejecting an ink containing a water-soluble polymerizable component A and water from a printing head of an ink jet system to apply the ink to a medium M, to thereby form a first image; and a second step of applying an active energy ray to the first image to form a second image. The polymerizable component A is dissolved in the first image, and a moisture concentration “x” (mass %) in the first image and a moisture concentration “y” (mass %) in the second image placed under an environment at a humidity of 95% satisfy a relationship of 0<(y/x)≤0.80.
Digital printing system and method
A digital printing system includes a track and a plurality of print heads, wherein the system is configured to index a plurality of containers to or through a plurality of process locations. In embodiments, the track is configured to convey a plurality of containers to or through the plurality of process locations, and the plurality of print heads are configured for digital printing on the plurality of containers.
Performance of printing based on detected end portions of medium
A printer includes: a printing section; a transport belt that transports a print medium; a camera that detects both end portions in an intersecting direction that intersects a transport direction of the print medium among end portions of the print medium placed on the transport belt; and a control section that causes the printing section to execute printing based on print data while one end portion of the both end portions detected by the camera is set as a print start position and a distance from the one end portion to the other end portion is set as a width of the print medium.
Machine arrangement for sequential processing of sheet-type substrates
A machine arrangement, for sequentially processing sheet-type substrates, includes a plurality of different processing stations, one of which includes a non-impact printing device that prints the substrates. The processing station, including the non-impact printing device, also includes a printing cylinder, on the circumference of which, the non-impact printing device that prints the substrates is arranged. On the circumferential surface of the printing cylinder, four substrates are or can be placed behind each other in the circumferential direction. Each of the substrates that are to be conveyed are retained in one of a force-locking and a form-fitting manner on the circumferential surface of the printing cylinder by at least one retaining element.
Method and apparatus for digital dyeing of thread
A thread printing system includes a source spool containing thread. The system also includes various print heads, each of which is fluidly connected to an ink tank. The print heads are positioned to direct and apply ink to a segment of the thread as the thread travels along a transport path along from the source spool. The system also includes a fuser having one or more print rollers that are connected to a heating element. The fuser receives the dyed thread and fuses the ink to the thread. The system may include a controller that is configured to apply ink of different colors to different segments of the thread.
Printing apparatus, control method of printing apparatus, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing program
A printer includes: a transport belt that transports a print medium; a print head that discharges ink to form an image on the print medium placed on the transport belt; a carriage that mounts the print head thereon and scans in an intersecting direction that intersects a transport direction of the print medium; a sensor unit that detects a non-printable area of the print medium capable of coming into contact with the print medium placed on the transport belt and the print head; and a control section that retracts the carriage from a position where the image is formed by the print head when the sensor unit detected the non-printable area during the printing, causes the transport belt to transport the print medium until the non-printable area is positioned downstream of the print head in the transport direction, and continues printing from a printable area adjacent to the non-printable area.
Inkjet printer and control method for inkjet printer
In an inkjet printer, an ultraviolet irradiator includes a first irradiation portion disposed at the same position as a color ink ejection portion in a front-back direction and a third irradiation portion disposed on the front side of a clear ink ejection portion in the front-back direction, where at the time of printing in a gloss tone printing mode, an average illuminance of a fifth irradiation portion that forms the front side portion of the first irradiation portion is lower than an average illuminance of a fourth irradiation portion that forms the back side portion of the first irradiation portion.
