PRINT CONDITIONER
Some examples include a print system including a memory to store instructions and print data of a print job, a processor to execute the instructions in the memory to reference print data of a print job, determine a print parameter of the print job, and transform the print data and the print parameter into a conditioning modifier. The print system includes a print engine to dispense a print substance on a medium based on the print data to generate printed medium, and a conditioner to apply heat and pressure to the printed medium, the conditioner including a pressure roller assembly, and a controller to selectively increase a transport speed the pressure roller assembly based on the conditioning modifier and a position of the printed medium relative to the pressure roller assembly to selectively increase the speed of the printed medium through the conditioner.
INK PRINTING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MONITORING A CHAMBER FOR AIRTIGHTNESS
An ink printing device has a dryer chamber that is connected via two openings with the internal space of the printer. To detect whether operational exhaust air flows, as leakage air, from the drying chamber into the internal space, the temperature in the opening region may be measured and compared with a reference value. Given a temperature difference above a threshold value, an error signal is generated and/or corresponding countermeasures are taken in order to reduce the leakage.
Blowing device and recording device
A blowing device includes a housing including a blowing path, a fan, a first flow path member being fixed downstream of the fan, and including a first and a second air outlet that are arranged in a width direction, and a second flow path member being fixed downstream of the fan, and including a third and a fourth air outlet that are arranged in the width direction. The first and the second flow path member are fixed in a state of being arranged in the width direction, a fifth air outlet is formed between the first and the second flow path member that are fixed, and a part of an opening edge of the fifth air outlet is the first flow path member, and a part of the opening edge of the fifth air outlet is the second flow path member.
DRYER UNIT AND PRINTING MACHINE
A dryer unit (18) for applying a dryer gas to a sheet material inside a printing machine comprises a dryer body (20) having a first set (26) of dryer gas output openings (28). These openings (28) are arranged in a substantially regular pattern covering an application width (20a) of the dryer unit (18). Additionally, at least one dryer gas output slot (38) is arranged upstream the first set (26) of dryer gas output openings (28). Furthermore, a printing machine is presented which comprises such a dryer unit (18).
INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS
An inkjet recording apparatus includes a conveyance belt, a sheet suction portion, a sheet conveyance portion, a recording portion, a suction roller, and an exhaust fan. The suction roller, at an upstream side of the recording portion with respect to a sheet conveyance direction, brings the sheet into contact with the outer circumferential surface of the conveyance belt. The exhaust fan, at an upstream side of the suction roller with respect to the sheet conveyance direction, sucks air existing over the conveyance belt. The exhaust fan causes air existing over the conveyance belt to flow through intervals between adjacent ones of roller portions of the suction roller in the sheet width direction, and thereby sucks and discharges air in a direction away from the conveyance belt.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF DRYING A MATERIAL DEPOSITED ON A WEB
A drying system and method of operating the drying system to dry a printed shrinkable web are disclosed. A web transport is adapted to convey the printed web between a heating apparatus and a cooling apparatus. The heating apparatus directs heat toward the web and the cooling apparatus concurrently chills the web. A temperature sensing device is adapted to develop an indication of a temperature of the web and the controller is adapted to adjust a temperature of at least one of the heating apparatus and the cooling apparatus in accordance with such indication.
Heating device, liquid discharge apparatus, and printer
A heating device includes a blower configured to blow air, the blower comprising a channel member defining a channel of the air, and a heater disposed outside the channel member. The channel member has end portions and a central portion in a longitudinal direction, each of the end portions having higher heat absorption property than the central portion, and said each of end portions of the channel member faces the heater.
DRYING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A drying apparatus includes a drying chamber to dry a drying-target medium with a gas maintained at a preset temperature, and the drying-target medium is a medium to be dried. The drying chamber takes in the gas from a suction chamber into which a gas is sucked in through an intake hole in a retaining face on which the drying-target medium is retained with the gas sucked into the suction chamber.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME
A printing apparatus includes a conveyance unit configured to convey a sheet, a printing unit configured to print an image by discharging ink to the sheet conveyed by the conveyance unit, a heating unit configured to heat the sheet conveyed by the conveyance unit and to which the image has been printed by the printing unit, and a control unit configured to, in a case of double-side printing in which after printing an image on a first side of the sheet, an image is printed on a second side of the sheet, based on an amount of ink discharged for the first side and an amount of ink discharged for the second side, control heating by the heating unit with respect to the second side.
Image forming apparatus which heats recording medium at a higher temperature at a downstream position than an upstream position
An image forming apparatus includes a first liquid applier, a second liquid applier, a conveyor, and a heater. The first liquid applier applies liquid to a first side of a recording medium. The second liquid applier applies the liquid to a second side of the recording medium bearing the liquid applied to the first side by the first liquid applier. The conveyor conveys, in a conveyance direction, the recording medium bearing the liquid applied to the second side by the second liquid applier. The heater heats the recording medium conveyed by the conveyor. The conveyor conveys the recording medium in contact with the first side of the recording medium. The heater heats the recording medium at different temperatures between an upstream location and a downstream location in the conveyance direction of the recording medium.
