A drying method includes a heat step of heating the medium, a transport step of transporting the medium in the transport direction, and an air blowing step of blowing air to the medium while heating the transported medium, and the temperature is adjusted in each of the heating step and the air blowing step.
Recording apparatus and recording system
A recording unit which is provided in a recording system includes a heat roller pair which contacts paper and performs drying of the paper after recording by a line head using heating and a control unit which controls operation of the heat roller pair, in which a heating region of the heat roller pair is divided into a plurality of subdivisions in a width direction which intersects the medium transport direction and the heat roller pair is configured to be capable of modifying a heating state for each subdivision region, and in which the control unit controls the heating state of each of the subdivision regions in the heat roller pair according to conditions when performing drying of the paper using the heat roller pair.
PRINTING SYSTEM REDUCED THROUGHPUT MODE
According to an example, a printing system may include printing components, an input voltage engine to determine whether an input voltage level is outside of a predetermined voltage level range, and a printing components engine to control the printing components to operate in one of a normal mode and a reduced throughput mode based upon whether the accessed input voltage level is outside of the predetermined voltage level range.
DRYING DEVICE AND PRINTING APPARATUS
A drying device includes a contact heater unit to contact and heat a medium. The contact heater unit includes a plurality of heating members each having a curved contact face to contact the medium among plural heating members of the plurality of heating members to contact a first surface of the medium opposite a second surface of the medium on which liquid is applied. The plurality of heating members includes a first heating member and a plurality of second heating members. The first heating member has a maximum contact distance to contact the medium. The plurality of second heating members is disposed upstream from the first heating member in a direction of conveyance of the medium. Two heating members of the plurality of second heating members immediately upstream from the first heating member in the direction of conveyance of the medium contact the first surface of the medium.

Digital printing machine with a temperature control device for sheets
A digital printing machine includes a first cylinder for transporting sheets, a second cylinder for transferring the sheets directly to the first cylinder, a third cylinder for transferring the sheets directly to the second cylinder, and at least one inkjet print head directed towards the first cylinder for printing on the sheets disposed thereon. At least one first sensor measures the temperature of the first cylinder, a second sensor measures the temperature of the sheets while being transported by the second cylinder or by the third cylinder, and at least one temperature control device controls the temperature of the sheets prior to their transfer to the first cylinder. A control element adapts the temperature of the sheets to the temperature of the first cylinder. The first sensor, the second sensor and the temperature control device are connected to the control element.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND HEATING CONTROL METHOD CAPABLE OF SUPPRESSING IMAGE DISTORTION
The image forming apparatus includes an ejection portion, a guide portion, a plurality of heating elements, a determination processing portion, and a drive control portion. The ejection portion ejects ink toward a first surface of a strip-shaped medium. The guide portion is provided at a position sandwiching the medium between the guide portion and the ejection portion, and forms a guide surface that guides the medium by coming into contact with a second surface on a rear side of the first surface of the medium. The plurality of heating elements are arranged along a width direction of the medium below the guide surface. The determination processing portion determines the heating elements to be driven based on the width of the medium. The drive control portion drives the heating elements determined by the determination processing portion as heating elements to be driven.
INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS
An inkjet recording apparatus includes a belt, an image forming unit, a transfer unit, a heating unit, and a hardware processor. The belt is laid across at least two rollers so as to move around the rollers. The image forming unit ejects an ink to an image forming region of the belt, thereby forming a primary image. The image forming region is arranged between the rollers. The transfer unit transfers the primary image formed in the image forming region by the image forming unit to a recording medium. The heating unit heats the image forming region. The hardware processor controls a temperature of the image forming region by causing the heating unit to heat the image forming region.
