Described herein is a printing template for use during an aqueous inkjet printing process in which ink is transferred onto a printable layer. The printing template includes a printable layer having a first side, a second side opposite the first side, and a shaped perimeter, the first side defining a printable surface. The printing template further includes a carrier layer sized and configured to entirely encompass the shaped perimeter of the printable layer. The carrier layer includes a first side and a second side opposite the first side. The first side includes an adhesive coating causing the first side of the carrier layer securely associated with the second side of the printable layer during the printing process, and is thereafter allowing removal of the carrier layer from the printable layer after completion of the printing process. Further, a predefined number of parts in a desired shape are die cut through the printable layer up until the carrier layer.

Thermal transfer sheet and combination of transfer foil and thermal transfer sheet

A thermal transfer sheet is provided that accurately removes a transfer layer. The thermal transfer sheet includes a peel-off layer affixed to a substrate. The peel-off layer (i) contains at least a vinyl chloride-type resin and an acrylic-type resin, and a mass of the vinyl chloride-type resin based on a total mass of the peel-off layer is more than 50% by mass and not more than 95% by mass, or the peel-off layer (ii) contains a polyester-type resin having a number average molecular weight (Mn) of not more than 17000 and a glass transition temperature (Tg) of not less than 50 C. and not more than 120 C.

FABRIC PRINTABLE MEDIUM

A fabric printable medium includes a fabric base substrate, which includes yarn strands and voids among the yarn strands. The fabric printable medium further includes a finishing coating attached to the yarn strands of the fabric base substrate to form coated yarn strands. The finishing coating includes a first and a second crosslinked polymeric network. The fabric printable medium has pore spaces among the coated yarn strands that coincide with at least some of the voids of the fabric base substrate.

Method for inkjet printing and printed article

Inkjet printed articles can be made by providing an inkjet receiving medium comprising a substrate and a topcoat layer, and inkjet printing an aqueous pigment-based ink onto the topcoat layer. The topcoat layer has: (a) one or more water-soluble salts of a multivalent metal cation; and (b) composite particles having a Rockwell Hardness of R90 and each of the composite particles comprising domains of a (i) first organic polymer and domains of a (ii) second organic polymer. The domains of the (ii) second organic polymer are dispersed within the domains of the (i) first organic polymer. The melting point of the (i) first organic polymer is lower than the melting point of the (ii) second organic polymer. The weight ratio of the (i) first organic polymer to the (ii) second organic polymer is chosen such that the (b) composite particles have a density of 1.0-1.5 g/ml.
