INFORMATION-SHIELDING CARDS AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FABRICATING THE SAME
Example embodiments of information-shielding cards and systems and methods of fabricating the same are provided. An information-shielding card can comprising a substrate comprising a first layer, a second layer, a third layer, a chip embedded in the second layer, and a quick-response (QR) code formed on the second layer. The second layer can be disposed between the first layer and the third layer. The first layer can comprise a first material that is transparent when exposed to a non-visible light, the second layer can comprise a second material that is opaque when exposed to visible light and when exposed to non-visible light, and the third layer comprises a third material that is transparent when exposed to a non-visible light.
Security marks based on print job image
A printing system receives a print request containing patterns of marks to be printed on print media to produce printed output. A processor evaluates the print request to identify different printing densities of the patterns of marks. The processor alters the patterns of marks to create hidden features on the printed output by adding different printing densities of fluorescent spots to different areas of the patterns of marks. The different printing densities of the fluorescent spots are based on the different printing densities of the patterns of marks and on the size of the hidden features. A printing device prints the print request on the print media to produce the printed output.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATICALLY VERIFYING THE AUTHENTICITY OF DOCUMENTS
A method and system for automatically verifying the authenticity of documents is provided. The method has: scanning a document to be verified in the visible and ultraviolet light spectrum; detecting in the scanned document digital watermarks printed with visible and ultraviolet ink; decrypting the marks, thereby obtaining an ultraviolet mark identifier and a variable data mark identifier; validating the percentage of the mark by checking for the presence of the digital watermark in different areas of the scanned document; comparing the mark identifiers obtained with mark identifiers stored in a database; and determining the validity of the document on the basis of the comparison. The invention allows the validity of the data printed in the document to be checked automatically, reducing the possibility of the undetected falsification, modification or total or partial alteration of a document.

Anti-counterfeiting structure
An anti-counterfeiting structure includes a substrate having a surface, and an device structure positioned on the surface. A side opposite to the side on which the substrate is positioned with respect to the device structure is an observation side, and the device structure comprises an optical device layer that emits predetermined light towards the observation side, and an information portion that contains given information. The information portion comprises a first substance having optical transparency, wherein the first substance is changeable to a second substance having a different optical characteristic from the first substance by laser irradiation, and the second substance representing information. The device structure has a display surface that is a surface opposite to the surface on which a surface of the substrate, and is configured so as to display information contained in the information portion via the display surface.
Security pigment based on core-shell particles, and production method
The invention relates to a security pigment of core-shell particles, comprising a core based on a thermoplastic material, a shell based on a condensation polymer, and an organic or metalorganic feature substance present in dissolved or finely distributed form in the core, wherein the mass fraction of the shell amounts to more than 25%, preferably 50%, particularly more than 100%, in relation to the mass of the core. The invention further relates to a method for producing the core-shell particles and to value documents having the core-shell particles.
