Printing method with oxidative-drying intaglio ink and UV-VIS-curable intaglio inks
The present invention relates to the field of the intaglio printing process. In particular, the present invention relates to a method that combines intaglio inks curable by oxidation with UV-VIS-curable intaglio inks on one intaglio plate or cylinder. The disclosed method results in an intaglio printed security element using advantageously the unalike properties of the different inks while enabling the printing on a standard printing press in one printing step.
Embedding 3D information in documents
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for obtaining information to be embedded within an identification document. Modifying the information to add depth when viewed through a three-dimensional (3D) viewing device, thereby yielding modified information. Embedding the modified information in a target image to yield a modified target image such that the modified information is not viewable to a naked eye and the modified information is visible with added depth when viewed through a 3D viewing device. Disposing the modified target image on an identification document to yield embedded 3D information. An identification document includes the target image and 3D information embedded within the target image. The 3D information embedded within the target image is not visible to a naked eye, but is visible with added depth when viewed through a 3D viewing device.
Mirrored fluorescent security feature
A credential with one or more security features is disclosed. The disclosed credential includes a windowed security feature. The windowed security feature is taught to include a mirror element positioned in proximity with a transparent window and a first photo-luminescent feature positioned relative to the transparent window and the mirror element such that the mirror element enhances a luminescence of the first photo-luminescent feature when viewed and illuminated through the transparent window.

SECURITY INLAY FOR AN IDENTITY DOCUMENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A SECURITY INLAY FOR AN IDENTITY DOCUMENT
A security inlay having optically recognizable characters for an identity document comprises a first transparent layer and a second transparent layer. The first and second transparent layers are connected to one another. A first portion of the optically recognizable characters is formed by blackened sections in at least one of the layers. A second portion of the optically recognizable characters is formed by the color coating. The first and second portions are arranged and configured to reflect visible light. Infrared light is reflected by the first portion of the optical characters. During irradiation with visible light, the security inlay thus shows first graphical information formed jointly by the first portion of the optically recognizable characters and the second portion of the optically recognizable characters. Under irradiation with infrared light, the security inlay shows second graphical information formed by the first portion of the optical characters.

A BANKNOTE AND A METHOD OF PRODUCING A BANKNOTE
A method of producing banknotes on a substrate in-line on a web-based process is disclosed, including providing a tactile layer. In addition, a banknote produced by the above method, a banknote having a single-ink system, a coating for banknote and a tactile security feature are disclosed.
A TACTILE SECURITY FEATURE FOR A BANKNOTE
A tactile security feature for a banknote and a method for its production using in-line on a web-based process are disclosed. The security feature comprises a printed indicia layer including a design element and a printed enhanced tactility layer, which has at least a first enhanced tactility area overlapping the design element, such that the design element appears to have tactility due to the overlap with the enhanced tactility area. Preferably the tactile layer contains tactile particles. In addition, a banknote produced by the above method, a banknote having a single-ink system, and a coating for banknotes including a tactile security feature are disclosed.

LAMINATES, IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS, AND METHODS FOR VERIFYING IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS
A laminate includes: a first laminate member; a second laminate member; and a hidden print formed by printing invisible ink between the first laminate member and the second laminate member. The hidden print is configured to absorb electromagnetic radiation outside the visible range. When irradiated with electromagnetic radiation outside a visible range that has passed through at least one of the first laminate member and the second laminate member, the hidden print absorbs the electromagnetic radiation to thereby show a sign, and, when irradiated with visible light, the hidden print does not show the sign.
