Security paper
A security sheet including at least one paper substrate, at least one watermark produced in the paper substrate, the watermark having an exterior outline, at least one aperture of regular edge, produced by ablation of the paper substrate, and at least one security film that is at least partially superposed on the watermark and on the aperture. In the sheet, the at least one aperture lies inside the watermark, such as bounded by its exterior outline.
Security paper

An information display medium (100) includes a light reflection layer (20) made of a metal or a metallic oxide and partially or fully placed on one surface of a substrate, and the light reflection layer (20) includes a first region (30) where first information is displayed by either of or a combination of an outline shape and a shape of an uneven region, and a second information display region (21a) where identification information formed by partial material removal of the light reflection layer (20), the second information display region being set to partially or fully overlap with the light reflection layer (20) where the first information is displayed in the first region (30).

Optically variable security element having reflective surface region
An optically variable security element wherein the areal expansion whereof defines a z direction standing perpendicularly thereon, and has a multicolored, reflective areal region. The areal region includes two relief structures arranged at different height levels in the z direction. The relief structures are each supplied with an ink coating which produce a different color impression. The ink coating of the relief structure disposed at a higher level is configured in the feature region as a regular or irregular grid with grid elements and grid spaces. The dimensions of the grid elements and/or grid spaces are below 140 μm at least in one direction, so that, in the feature region, for a viewer from at least one viewing angle, the ink coating of the relief structure disposed at a lower level is visible through the grid spaces of the ink coating of the relief structure disposed at a higher level.
OPTICAL DEVICE WITH ORDERED SCATTERER ARRAYS FOR SECURE IDENTITY AND A METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME
An optical device with ordered scatterer arrays for secure identity and a method of producing the same
This invention discloses a method for configurable spatial control and modification of optically active resonantly coupled scatterer arrays to produce identifiable security features and a corresponding photonic secure identity device. The invention comprises at least the steps of (i) producing a deposition template from said master stamp, (ii) synthesis of a plasmonic particle colloid, (iii) producing an optically active, two-dimensional security tag template using self-assembly of said particles on said deposition template, (iv) producing a customized secure identity device from said security tag template by selective removal or modification of optical properties using ultrashort laser pulses. The produced customized plasmonic-photonic device can then be used as secure identity and anti-counterfeiting means. The device exploits customized spatial control and modification of optically active plasmonic particle arrays demonstrating surface lattice resonance optical signature to produce easily identifiable security features.

A display includes first and second portions and is deformable between a first state in which the portions are spaced apart from each other and a second state in which the portions overlap each other, wherein the first portion includes first and second regions each having a shape extending in a first direction and alternately and regularly arranged in a second direction, each of the first regions being a light-permeable region provided with a light-deflecting structure, and each of the second regions being a transparent region having flat front and back surfaces, and a latent image is recorded in the second portion, the latent image being identifiable or easy to identify when observed through the first portion in the second state.
Bending system, engrave system and value document manufacturing device
A bending system for separating a page from a cover of a value document, wherein the page is connected to a spine of the cover, the spine separating the cover in first and second cover portions, wherein an angle γ is formed between the first and second cover portions. The bending system includes a bending unit connected to a motor, wherein the motor is configured to operate the bending unit such that the bending unit bends the value document to a first state, where γ is larger than 180°, and then back to a second state, where γ is at least 180° but less than γ in the first state, to separate the page from the cover. Also disclosed is an engraving system for engraving a front side and backside of a page of the value document and a document manufacturing device including the bending system and engraving system.
