AUTHENTICATION OF METALLIC OBJECTS
The present invention provides an anti-counterfeit marking technique for verifying authenticity of objects using x-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A LAMINATED BODY AND A LAMINATING FILM AND LAMINATED BODY AND LAMINATING FILM
A method for producing a laminated body and a laminating inlay, as well as a laminated body, a laminating inlay and a security document, in particular in the form of a bank card, identity card or credit card, with such a laminated body.
Edge-to-edge metal card and production method
Edge-to-edge metal transaction cards and associated production methods are disclosed. The transaction cards include a metallic member and an interconnected first core layer that each extend from edge-to-edge about the length and width of the transaction card. In one approach, the metallic member may extend substantially continuously across the lateral extent of the card (e.g. except for a pocket that receives an IC chip and contact pads), and the first core layer may be transparent with printing on an inward-facing and/or out-ward-facing side. In another approach, the metallic member may be frame-like with an inlay and supportably interconnected inlay antenna disposed in an opening through the metallic member. A second core layer may be interconnected to a second side of the metallic member. A metal face may be provided on an outward-facing side of the first core layer and/or second core layer.
Card with layers on one side
A method of processing sheet stock in the creation of plastic cards, such as gift cards or credit cards that include special effects and/or security measures. A card formed by such methods is also disclosed. The method provides for two or more dissimilar materials to be bonded together while maintaining the integrity of the card and as any graphics, security features, and/or special effects provided thereon. Thermoset and thermobond adhesive layers are placed between a first material layer and a second material layer of the sheet stock. The thermoset and thermobond adhesive layers allow the first and second material layers to move independently and to expand and contract at different rates relative to each other. The adhesive layers enable the sheet stock to be rolled up for shipping or storage and further enable the end product produced therefrom to have a planar profile.

ANIMAL INDIVIDUAL IDENTIFICATION MEMBER AND ANIMAL DATA MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
An animal individual identification member includes a first base brought into contact with a body of an animal, a second base including an identification portion indicating identification information of the animal by a sequence of mutually different adjacent colors, and an adhesive layer which is located between the first base and the second base and bonds the first base and the second base. The first base, the second base, and the adhesive layer have identical resin skeletons.
PRINTED RIGID PLASTIC SUBSTRATES
A process for preparing a printed rigid plastic substrate is described, the process comprising: providing a rigid plastic substrate comprising a primer on a surface of the rigid plastic substrate, the primer comprising a primer resin; printing a liquid electrophotographic ink composition comprising a thermoplastic resin onto the primer on the surface of the rigid plastic substrate; depositing a cross-linking composition comprising a cross-linker onto the printed electrophotographic ink composition disposed on the primer; and laminating the rigid plastic substrate with a flexible film such that the ink composition and the cross-linker are disposed between the rigid substrate and the flexible film and wherein the lamination of the rigid substrate with the flexible film causes cross-linking of the thermoplastic resin of the ink composition and of the primer resin.
Method for producing a multilayer film and multilayer film as well as a security element and a security document
A method for producing a multilayer film wherein, in at least one step, at least one ink is applied to a layer by means of inkjet printing, whereby at least one area at least of a first print is provided, and wherein the first print is covered by at least one further layer. A multilayer film, in particular produced by a method according to the invention, having at least a first print, wherein the print is produced by means of inkjet printing and wherein the print is arranged within the multilayer film and is covered by further layers of the multilayer film.
