Ring binder mechanism
12565059 · 2026-03-03 · ·

The present disclosure provides a ring binder mechanism comprising a first member having a locking element, a second member having a slot, and with the second member being pivotally connected to the first member by one or more pivoting arms. The ring binder mechanism further comprises a plurality of rings, each ring having a first ring portion on the first member, and a second ring portion on the second member. Herein, the locking element is configured to engage with the slot, to lock the first member and the second member with respect to each other and dispose the ring binder mechanism in a closed position; and to disengage from the slot when applied with an external pressure, to allow for relative movement of the first member and the second member with respect to each other and dispose the ring binder mechanism in an open position.

A file having the configuration that allows the file to suitably take a spread posture and a closed posture of a cover is provided.

The file is configured to be capable of changing a posture of the file such that a cover A can take a spread posture (H) and a closed posture. A binder B includes: front and rear binding rings R(f), R(r) that are configured to be capable of taking an open posture (P) and a closed posture; and a base portion d2 mounted on an inner surface of a spine cover 3. A front cover 1 and a back cover 2 have first and second communication holes a1, a2 that allow the front and rear binding rings R(f), R(r) to pass therethrough thus enabling the cover A to perform the posture change between the spread posture (H) and the closed posture.
