A decorative sheet includes a design layer, a primer layer and a surface protective layer formed by cross-linking and curing an ionizing radiation curable resin composition in this order on a base material. A surface of the surface protective layer is smooth. A ten point average roughness RzJIS on a rear face of the decorative sheet and a thickness T of the base material satisfies the following equation (I); and an arithmetic average roughness Ra on the rear face and a thickness T of the base material satisfies the following equation (II):

Or an arithmetic average roughness Ra on a rear face of the decorative sheet is 1.0 to 10.0 μm. A decorated resin molded article is produced by integrating the decorative sheet with an outer surface of a resin molded article at the same time as injection molding.

In another embodiment, a method of forming a heat-sealable thermoprintable tape includes providing a support layer having an open structure configured to support an extruded coating, applying a polyurethane coating onto a first side of the support layer and into open spaces of the open structure to form a top surface, and extruding a heat-sealable polymer onto a second side of the support layer opposite the first side and into the open spaces of the open structure. The polyurethane coating bonds to the heat-sealable polymer within the open structure of the support layer.

A color shifting heat transfer label includes a carrier and a color design layer on the carrier. The color design layer is formulated from an ink having a color shifting effect. The color design layer is configured to separate from the carrier to define a color shifting feature that is adhered to a target object upon application of heat and pressure. A method for texturing a plastic substrate, while forming a dye sublimation image in the plastic substrate is provided. A first side of a dye carrier sheet having an image formed thereon of a dye sublimation ink is placed on a second side of the plastic substrate to form a stack. A first side of a textured cover is placed on a side of the stack. A clamping pressure is provided on the textured cover and the stack, wherein the stack and textured cover are clamped together. The stack is heated to at least a sublimation temperature of the stack, which causes the dye sublimation ink to sublimate and penetrate through the second side of the plastic substrate, creating a dye sublimation image in the plastic substrate and wherein texture from the textured cover is transferred to a side of the plastic substrate.

DECORATIVE SHEET HAVING THREE-DIMENSIONAL METALLIC DESIGN AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING DECORATIVE SHEET

An inexpensive decorative sheet has a fine three-dimensional metallic design. A base vapor deposition film and a transfer sheet are provided. The base vapor deposition film includes a transparent film base of primarily a thermoplastic resin and is light-transmissive, and an underlying metal layer. The transfer sheet includes a transfer base film and a reflection pattern formation layer including a pattern metal layer. The transfer sheet is placed onto the base vapor deposition film, and a transfer roller is pressed against the transfer base film to embed a portion of the reflection pattern formation layer onto the base vapor deposition film and bond the portion to the base vapor deposition film. The transfer roller includes a transfer surface, which corresponds to a predetermined design. The transfer sheet is peeled away from the base vapor deposition film to transfer a reflection pattern to the base vapor deposition film.
