Foil printing
Herein is described a method of applying foil from a foil web to a substrate. The method may comprise: ink-jet printing a UV-curable adhesive onto the substrate in a predetermined image area; subjecting the adhesive to a first curing by exposing the adhesive to UV light in a dosage range of 140-170 mJ/cm.sup.2; passing the substrate and a foil web through a nip where the foil web is pressed against the adhesive; subjecting the adhesive disposed between the substrate and the foil web to a second curing by exposing the adhesive to UV light in a dosage of at least 250 mJ/cm.sup.2; and separating excess foil from the substrate, to leave foil on the predetermined image area. Substrates and UV-curable adhesives are also described.
Cold foil temporary tattoo and process for making the same
Described herein is/are cold foil adhesive methods for manufacturing temporary tattoo laminate devices, wherein the tattoos incorporate metallic foil and other decorative components. The methods provide a surprisingly rapid and efficient method for creating tattoo laminate devices which provide crisp, clear multi-color images temporary tattoos for the skin. The methods described herein provide a way to produce, in an offset printing press or flexographic printing press, numerous tattoo laminate devices at very high speeds, with unlimited colors, and crisp, clear images.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DECORATING SUBSTRATES
Systems and methods for forming and applying decorations onto substrates are disclosed. According to some aspects, a decoration may be formed on a carrier web at a decoration forming station positioned along a web path. The decorations may be transported along the web path to an application station at which the decorations are applied to substrates from the carrier web.
TWO-DIMENSIONAL MATERIAL PRINTER AND TRANSFER SYSTEM
A material transfer system transfers 2-dimensional (2D) material to or from a substrate. The system comprises a transfer apparatus having a transfer material holder for retaining a transfer material, and a stamping apparatus having an intermediate portion with a longitudinal axis and a distal end portion. The distal end portion has a proximal section, middle section and distal section forming a distal end face. The middle section is curved with respect to the longitudinal axis to form a stamper contact surface at the middle section. The stamper contact is surface configured to contact the transfer material.
Polyurethane Protective Film
A protective film that can be included in multi-layer film laminates for use in marketing, advertising campaigns, particularly outdoor or other environment impacted promotions and safety applications. The film includes at least two different polyurethane polymers and is free or substantially free of polyvinyl chloride based polymer. One polyurethane has an ultimate elongation less than 200%, and another polyurethane has an ultimate elongation more than 400%. The film may be transparent, translucent, clear or have other desirable optical properties.
METHOD PROVIDING A WORKPIECE WITH A THREE-DIMENSIONALLY TEXTURED SURFACE COATING
The present invention refers to a method for decorating a material comprising the steps of: applying a three-dimensional layer (110) by inkjet printing on at least a part of a support (100). Apply one or more of the following layers on at least a part of the support on which the three-dimensional layer has been created: release layer, texturing layer (120), decorative layer (130), white layer (140), colored layer, functional layer, adhesive layer (150). Apply the transferable decoration on at least part of a material (160) to be decorated. Remove the support (100). Reveal the 3D.
Method for creating a customizable journal
A method to customize a journal or planner uses an ink transfer sheet having a desired image thereon such that the ink transfer sheet is positioned on one of the pages of the journal and the image on the ink transfer sheet is transferred to the journal's page in the appropriate manner for the particular type of ink transfer sheet used. Multiple sheets are used to customize the various pages of the journal. The ink transfer sheet can be any appropriate ink transfer sheet such as a decal sheet bound to an adhesive sheet or a silk screened transfer film bound to a backing paper with a non-slip layer therebetween.
GEL NAIL STICKER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
Provided is a gel nail sticker including: a lower laminated part which is a part directly attached to a nail or a toenail, and has a color or a pattern, and is formed of a flexible material to correspond to a curved surface of the nail or the toenail; and an upper laminated part which is a transparent coated layer positioned on the lower laminated part and providing glossiness to a color or a pattern of the lower laminated part, and is in a flexible semi-solid state to correspond to the curved surface of the nail or the toenail before being attached to the nail or the toenail, and is cured to a solid state while maintaining a form attached to the nail or the toenail when an ultraviolet ray is irradiated to the upper laminated part after the upper laminated part is attached to the nail or the toenail.
COATING METHOD AND COATING FILM
A coating method includes: forming multiple through holes in a coating film including a support sheet and a transfer layer on the support sheet, the multiple through holes passing through only the transfer layer; after the forming of the multiple through holes, disposing the coating film so that the transfer layer faces a surface of a target object; pressing the coating film against the surface of the target object from a side of the support sheet so that the transfer layer is transferred to the surface of the target object; and, after the pressing, peeling off the support sheet from the transfer layer.
ADHESIVE MARKING DEVICE
An adhesive marking device generally includes an adhesive layer, a marking layer arranged on the adhesive layer, and a varnish layer that covers the marking layer. The marking layer includes a marking and a carrier film. The marking device generally has a moisture vapour transmission rate (MVTR) greater than or equal to 50 g/(m.sup.2.Math.day).
