A method for producing a decal with at least one decoration includes: providing a transfer paper, printing, by means of inkjet printing, a primer onto the transfer paper and/or onto a stamping film having a carrier ply and a decorative ply, and applying, at least in areas, the stamping film to the transfer paper by means of hot or cold stamping.
A decal includes a transfer paper and a decoration that can be separated from the transfer paper, wherein the decoration has a primer printed by means of inkjet, a decorative ply of a stamping film and optionally an ink and/or ink layer printed by means of inkjet and/or a protective varnish printed by means of inkjet.

In an aspect, there is provided a method of foil printing that may comprise providing a substrate having a surface comprising a first area and a second area, wherein the first area has printed thereon a first electrostatic ink composition comprising a first thermoplastic resin and substantially lacking a pigment and the second area has printed thereon a second electrostatic ink composition comprising a second thermoplastic resin and a pigment; applying a liquid solvent composition to the first electrostatic ink composition on the first area and the second electrostatic ink composition on the second area, to swell the first and second thermoplastic resins; and contacting a foiling material with the first electrostatic ink composition on the first area, such that the foiling material selectively adheres to the first area on the surface of the substrate. In another aspect, an electrostatic and foil printing system for performing the method is provided.

Heat transfers with minimal transfer marking on performance fabrics
Heat transfers are provided that have indicia for labeling or enhancing the appearance of performance fabric material, such as apparel including sportswear fabrics with elastomeric characteristics. The label assembly includes a support portion with a label carrier layer and a release coating, along with a transfer portion over the support portion release coating that includes an ink design and a hot melt adhesive layer. The hot melt adhesive layer securely transfers the ink design to the fabric at relatively low temperature and pressure conditions for a relatively low dwell time.
