Axle assembly having a wheel mount disposed on a planet carrier
An axle assembly having a wheel mount that is disposed on a planet carrier of a planetary gear set. The wheel mount may be fixedly positioned with respect to the planet carrier with one or more fasteners and one or more dowels so that the wheel mount and planet carrier may rotate together about an axis.
Bogie axle system
A bogie axle system having an axle housing, a planetary gear set, a chain housing, and a slew bearing assembly. The axle housing may at least partially receive planetary gear set. The chain housing may receive a drive sprocket unit. The slew bearing assembly may pivotally couple the chain housing to the axle housing.
In-wheel drive device and vehicle including the same
An in-wheel drive device includes: a wheel bearing including a hub; and a speed reducer at least partially disposed in an internal space of the wheel bearing. The speed reducer includes: planet gears; a ring gear configured to engage the planet gears; and a carrier coupled to the planet gears and configured to transmit, to an outside of the in-wheel drive device, power generated by a revolution of the plurality of planet gears. A first sealing part is disposed in a region in which the carrier and the wheel bearing face each other.
Axle assembly having a bearing preload bolt
An axle assembly having a preload bolt. The preload bolt may couple an output flange that may be supported by a roller bearing assembly to a planet carrier. A preload force may be exerted on the roller bearing assembly when the preload bolt is tightened to the planet carrier.
Bogie Axle Assembly
A bogie axle assembly having a housing, a spindle, a drive sprocket unit, and a planetary gear set. The drive sprocket unit may be fixedly disposed on a planet gear carrier of the planetary gear set. The spindle may be fixedly disposed on the housing. The drive sprocket unit may be rotatably supported by at least one roller bearing assembly that may be disposed between the spindle and the drive sprocket unit.
System, method and apparatus for installing a torque tube
An apparatus for installing a torque tube includes a first clamp portion and a second clamp portion. The first clamp portion is arcuate in shape and has opposed first distal ends. The second clamp portion is arcuate in shape and has opposed second distal ends configured to abut the first distal ends of the first clamp portion to form a ring. The first clamp portion and the second clamp portion are configured to clamp a torque tube therebetween. The apparatus also includes a plurality of legs depending downwardly from the first clamp portion and the second clamp portion which are configured to set a spacing between the torque tube and a seal ring.
HUB ARRANGEMENT FOR TWIN WHEELS
A hub arrangement for twin wheels comprises a stationary carrier; an intermediate hub which is rotatable about an axis of rotation and which can be driven by a drive shaft; a differential gear having an input which is connected to the intermediate hub; a first wheel hub which is connected to a first output of the differential gear; and a second wheel hub which is connected to a second output of the differential gear. The hub arrangement furthermore comprises a first braking apparatus which is effective between the stationary carrier and the intermediate hub and a second braking apparatus which is effective between the stationary carrier and the second wheel hub or between the intermediate hub and the second wheel hub. In this respect, the first braking apparatus and the second braking apparatus can be actuated separately from one another.
Driving mechanism of bicycle free-coaster hub
A driving mechanism of a bicycle free-coaster hub includes a driving assembly, a clutch assembly, an epicyclic gear assembly, a resisting member, and forward drag and reverse drag members. The clutch assembly includes an output clutch unit disposed inner the hub and an input clutch unit disposed with the driving assembly to form a clutching or engaging state with the output clutch unit. The epicyclic gear assembly includes a sun gear coupled with the input clutch unit, a ring gear mounted on the hub, a planet gear carrier having a plurality of planet gears engaged with the ring gear and the gear portion of the sun gear. The resisting member is disposed between the sun gear and the hub axle. The forward drag member is disposed between the ring gear and the sun gear. The reverse drag member is disposed between the planet gear carrier and the hub axel.
AXLE ASSEMBLY
A family of axle assemblies that employ a modular concept to maximize part commonality amongst the several axle assemblies. The axle assemblies have a housing assembly that employs a main housing that is formed from a casting that is common to all of the axle assemblies.
