Fishing rod handle assembly
A fishing rod handle assembly configured to provide increased safety, strength and control and which may be used in combination with standard fishing rods. The fishing rod handle assembly generally includes a handle positioned transverse to the position of the standard fishing rod, such that a fisherman can utilize both hands in a side-by-side orientation for increased control and strength when pulling up on the standard fishing rod and reeling in fish. Further, the fishing rod handle assembly generally includes one or more collars connected to the handle, the one or more collars having splined recesses therein for detachably connecting the standard fishing rod to the fishing rod handle assembly, such that the fishing rod handle assembly firmly grips the standard fishing rod to prevent twisting, but does not damage or break the standard fishing rod.
Reel seat and fishing rod
The reel seat for mounting a dual-bearing reel on an upper side of a rod main body of a fishing rod extends in a front-rear direction in a plan view of the reel seat. The reel seat includes a reel foot mounting part on the upper side for mounting a reel foot of the dual-bearing reel such that a handle of the dual-bearing reel is located on a first side in a right-left direction in the plan view. The reel seat also includes a support wall for supporting a palm of a hand when palming the reel seat such that the support wall provided on a second side opposite to the first side in the right-left direction, the support wall protruding to the upper side on the second side of the reel seat.

REEL SEAT AND FISHING ROD INCLUDING SAME
A reel seat coupling a reel to a rod body of a fishing rod and a fishing rod including the reel seat are provided. The reel seat includes a seat body coupled to the rod body, and movable hood movably coupled to the seat body. The seat body includes a curved surface portion formed between a projecting portion and a bulging portion, and the curved surface portion is arcuately curved so as to effectively deliver a bite signal to index and middle fingers. The movable hood includes a hood portion positioned at an opposite side of the projecting portion in a vertical direction, and an accommodating portion accommodating the projecting portion, thereby preventing the index finger from coming into contact with the hood portion. The movable hood includes a reinforcing cover, and the reinforcing cover reinforces the hood portion and a guide protrusion of the hood portion.

Systems and methods for coupling a fishing reel to a fishing rod
In some cases, the described reel coupler includes a rod coupler base that couples to a fishing rod, and a reel coupler base that couples to a fishing reel, and that selectively couples to the rod coupler base via a coupling mechanism. In some cases, the coupling mechanism includes a process on either the rod or the reel coupler base, and a corresponding recess in the other of the rod and the reel coupler base, with the process being configured to slidingly mate with the recess. In some cases, the reel coupler includes a lock that is configured to move between a locked position where a first portion of the lock blocks a portion of the process to prevent the process in the recess from sliding out of the recess, and a release position where the lock allows the process to slidingly decouple from the recess. Other implementations are described.

FISHING ROD
One object is to provide a fishing rod in which stability in securing a fitting is achieved. The fishing rod includes a molded rod section having a surface and the fitting placed on the surface, the fitting having a securing portion and being secured to the surface with a sheet member made of a thermosetting resin that is wound on the securing portion and heat-cured. The sheet member includes a first sheet member and a second sheet member made of thermosetting resins, the first sheet member being placed or wound on the rod section, the second sheet member being wound over the first sheet member and the securing portion placed on the first sheet member. The thermosetting resins of the first sheet member and the second sheet member have different curing temperatures from each other.
