A fishing system may have at least a fishing assembly with a handle axially aligned with a reel and a rod. The handle can have a hollow portion and a dexterity portion. The reel may be oriented relative to the handle to position a center of gravity of the fishing assembly in the handle. A fishing line may continuously extend from the reel through the hollow portion, atop the dexterity portion, and along the rod.

A fishing rod handle assembly configured to provide increased safety, strength and control and which may be used in combination with standard fishing rods. The fishing rod handle assembly generally includes a handle positioned transverse to the position of the standard fishing rod, such that a fisherman can utilize both hands in a side-by-side orientation for increased control and strength when pulling up on the standard fishing rod and reeling in fish. Further, the fishing rod handle assembly generally includes one or more collars connected to the handle, the one or more collars having splined recesses therein for detachably connecting the standard fishing rod to the fishing rod handle assembly, such that the fishing rod handle assembly firmly grips the standard fishing rod to prevent twisting, but does not damage or break the standard fishing rod.

The topside trolling reel is an adapter that attaches a trolling reel to the bottom side of a spin casting reel. The cage is further defined with a first end disk, a second end disk, and a plurality of cage bars. The topside trolling reel comprises a trolling reel and a spinning rod adapter. The spinning rod adapter attaches the cage of the trolling reel to the traditional bottom mount of a spin casting reel rod. In the first potential embodiment of the disclosure, the spinning rod adapter is attached to the cage of the trolling reel using four readily and commercially available screws. The spinning rod adapter is then attached normally to a reel seat provisioned spin casting reel rod.

The topside trolling reel is an adapter that attaches a trolling reel to the bottom side of a spin casting reel. The trolling reel is further defined with a cage, a spool, a tensioner, a handle, and a trolling reel foot. The cage is further defined with a first end disk, a second end disk, and a plurality of cage bars. The topside trolling reel comprises a trolling reel and a spinning rod adapter. The spinning rod adapter attaches the cage of the trolling reel to the traditional bottom mount of a spin casting reel rod.
