TIRE
In a tire, a tire outer diameter OD is in a range 200 mmOD660 mm. A total tire width SW is in a range 100 mmSW400 mm. A carcass layer is formed by layering two layers of carcass plies formed by covering organic fiber cords with coating rubbers. The organic fiber cords of the two layers of the carcass plies have cord angles in a range of 80 degrees or more and 100 degrees or less with respect to a tire circumferential direction. A tensile strength Tcs per a width of 50 mm of each of the two layers of the carcass plies (13A, 13B) is in a range 17 N/mmTcs/OD120 N/mm with respect to the tire outer diameter OD.
REDUCED WEIGHT AIRCRAFT TIRE
A pneumatic tire having a carcass and a belt reinforcing structure, the belt reinforcing structure comprising: a zigzag belt reinforcing structure formed of a strip of reinforcement cords, the strip of reinforcement cords being inclined at 5 to 30 degrees relative to the centerplane of the tire extending in alternation to turnaround points at each lateral edge, wherein the strip of cords is formed from two different cords made of different materials.
HIGH PERFORMANCE AGRICULTURAL TIRE
An agricultural tire includes a toroidal tire structure containing vulcanized rubber in an amount of about 90 percent or more by weight. The tire structure may have one or more performance enhancing features, including high strength plies. The high strength plies contain cords that are formed of yarns, including polyamide yarns, and have individual cord tensile strengths within a range of about 400 N to about 700 N. The performance enhancing features further include circumferential belt plies having cords at angles of about 74 degrees or more from an axial direction.
POLYAMIDE CORD FOR USE AS A CARCASS REINFORCEMENT, PNEUMATIC VEHICLE TIRE COMPRISING ONE OR MORE POLYAMIDE CORDS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING ONE OR POLYAMIDE CORDS, METHOD FOR PRODUCING A RUBBERIZED REINFORCING PLY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MOTOR VEHICLE TIRE
The invention relates to a polyamide cord for use as carcass strength member in a pneumatic vehicle tire, wherein the polyamide cord has a residual shrinkage in the range from 0% to 2% and a shrinkage at 180 C. in the range from 0% to 4.5%, where the residual shrinkage of the polyamide cord and the shrinkage at 180 C. of the polyamide cord are determined to ASTM D 855. The invention also relates to a pneumatic vehicle tire comprising one or more polyamide cords and to a process for producing one or more polyamide cords, to a process for producing a rubberized reinforcement ply and to a process for producing a pneumatic vehicle tire.
PNEUMATIC TIRE
A pneumatic tire containing a polyester (e.g., polyethylene terephthalate or polyethylene naphthalate) derived from a non-fossil raw material. In a preferred embodiment, a polyester (e.g., polyethylene terephthalate or polyethylene naphthalate) in which a linear or cyclic moiety is produced using a raw material derived from a non-fossil raw material is used in the pneumatic tire. A pneumatic tire in which polyethylene terephthalate or polyethylene naphthalate produced using a raw material derived from a non-fossil raw material is used as a carcass material or a belt reinforcing material.
A NOVEL BIELASTIC ARAMID TIRE CORD AS CARCASS REINFORCEMENT
The present invention relates to a novel tire cord reinforcement made of ultra high modulus aramid fibers which has bi-elastic tensile properties. The cord includes at least two plies, and there is a spacing between the cord plies. Such a novel bi-elastic tire cord improves high speed durability and eliminates flatspotting when used as carcass reinforcement in pneumatic radial and bias tires.
Tire
A tire can include a pair of beads, a carcass, an inner liner, and an insulation located between the carcass and the inner liner. The carcass can include one carcass ply. The carcass ply can include a plurality of carcass cords and a topping rubber. Each carcass cord can have a total fineness of not less than 6000 dtex and not greater than 9000 dtex. The insulation can be located between first and second beads. A ratio (ta/td) of a thickness to of the topping rubber located between the insulation and the carcass cords to a thickness td of the insulation can be not less than 0.2 and not greater than 0.6.
Pneumatic radial tire for a passenger vehicle and method of using the same
A pneumatic radial tire for a passenger vehicle according to the present invention has an appropriate relationship between a tire cross-sectional width SW and a tire outer diameter OD. Also, a method of using the pneumatic radial tire for a passenger vehicle according to the present invention is to use the above radial tire with at least specified internal pressure.
