PNEUMATIC VEHICLE TIRE OF RADIAL DESIGN FOR UTILITY VEHICLE TIRES
A pneumatic vehicle tire of radial type of construction for utility vehicles, in particular trucks, buses and truck trailers, having a belt which has three or more belt plies (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) with steel cords (10), wherein each steel cord (10) has at least two strands (11) and wherein each strand (11) has at least two steel filaments (12); the invention is characterized in that steel cords (10) of the construction 2 to 4×N, where N=2 to 5, are at least arranged in one of the belt plies (5, 6, 7, 8, 9), wherein this construction means that this steel cord (10) has 2 to 4 twisted-together strands (11), wherein each strand (10) comprises 2 to 5 steel filaments (12) which are twisted together such that these 2 to 5 steel filaments (12) are arranged without a core filament.
TIRE AND BELT LAYER
A tire includes a belt layer in a tread portion. The belt layer includes at least one belt ply. The belt ply includes a plurality of belt cords including a steel single wire having a flat cross-sectional shape. In at least one of the belt cords, the steel single wire has a short diameter direction inclined at an angle θ of less than 90 degrees with respect to a thickness direction of the belt ply.
Cable for a tire
A cable as may be used in a tire, including a pneumatic tire. The cable is constructed in a manner that can provide a desired stiffness to a tire as well as a certain amount of structural elongation. The cable can be provided in a manner that does not necessarily result in an increase in the overall weight of the tire as would occur by e.g., increasing the diameter of a conventional cable construction.
VEHICLE TIRE HAVING A BELT BANDAGE
The present invention relates to a vehicle tire comprising a belt bandage, wherein the belt bandage comprises strength members, wherein the strength members comprise hybrid cords arranged parallel to one another within the ply, and wherein the hybrid cords each contain at least one yarn made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and at least one yarn made of polyamide.
According to the invention the PET of the yarn of the hybrid cord of the belt bandage is recycled PET (rPET).
TIRE WITH LOW ROLLING RESISTANCE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A tire comprises a crown reinforcement comprising: a working reinforcement comprising a single working layer and a hoop reinforcement arranged radially outside the working reinforcement and comprising at least one hooping filamentary reinforcing element (170) wound circumferentially helically so as to extend axially from one axial edge to the other axial edge of the hoop reinforcement. The or each hooping filamentary reinforcing element (170) consists of: two multifilament strands (1701, 1702) of aromatic polyamide or aromatic copolyamide and one multifilament strand (1703) of aliphatic polyamide or of polyester, or three polyester multifilament strands, each multifilament strand (1701, 1702, 1703) being wound in a helix around a main axis (W) common to the three multifilament strands (1701, 1702, 1703). The hoop reinforcement has a tangent modulus at 1.3% elongation ranging from 200 to 650 daN/mm.
PNEUMATIC TIRE HAVING A FIBER-REINFORCED RUBBER LAYER AND PREPARATION THEREOF
A pneumatic tire having a fiber-reinforced rubber layer can help prevent foreign objects from penetrating/extending beyond the tread and into its underlying layer(s), thereby desirably increasing the overall lifespan of the tire. In one embodiment, the tire includes at least one fiber-reinforced rubber layer, which can be generally supported by a tire carcass and interposed directly between a tread portion and belt ply. The fiber-reinforced rubber layer can define a barrier/barrier layer between the tread portion and belt ply and includes a rubber compound that is reinforced with one or more types of fiber (e.g., chopped nylon fiber) and has one or more specific chemical compounds that can provide desirable barrier properties (e.g., abrasion resistance, penetration energy, and DIN properties), thereby helping to prevent foreign objects from penetrating/extending beyond the tire tread and into its underlying layer(s), such as the belt ply and carcass.
Pneumatic Tire Having Structure of Dual Reinforcement Belt Layer
A pneumatic tire having a dual reinforcing belt structure, which minimizes deformation of the tire tread section during high-speed driving, particularly deformation of the tire shoulder parts, suppresses a standing wave phenomenon, and enhances driving stability. The pneumatic tire having a dual reinforcing belt structure includes a tread section, a sidewall section and a bead section, in which the bead section is provided with a carcass in a turned-up manner, a plurality of belt layers are provided by lamination between the carcass and the tread section, and a reinforcing belt is provided on top of the belt layer, while the reinforcing belt is a dual reinforcing belt in which belts made of different materials are arranged.
AIRCRAFT PNEUMATIC TIRE
An aircraft pneumatic tire includes a spirally wound belt layer in which a ribbon-shaped first strip material with a first belt cord including organic fibers and being covered with rubber is spirally wound; and zigzag belt layers in which a ribbon-shaped second strip material with a second belt cord including organic fibers and being covered with rubber extends and is wound in a circumferential direction while bending zigzag by being folded back at width directional end edges to an outer circumferential side of the spirally wound belt layers. The maximum width of the spirally wound belt layers is wider than the maximum width of the zigzag belt layers, and the width of the second strip material is wider than the width of the first strip material.
Crown For Aircraft Tire
Tire for an aeroplane and, in particular, the crown thereof which comprises a tread (1), a textile crown reinforcement (2) and a textile carcass reinforcement (4). In order to optimize the number of landings, in the equatorial plane, the thickness (E1) of the tread is at least equal to 1.1 times the thickness of the working reinforcement and the thickness (E5) of the carcass is at least equal to 1.5 times the thickness (E3) of the working reinforcement, the reinforcing elements of the working layers (31, 32, 33) having a tenacity at least equal to 90 cN/tex.
BICYCLE-TIRE REINFORCING PLY AND BICYCLE TIRE
A bicycle-tire reinforcing ply comprising a woven fabric that comprises liquid crystalline polyester fiber yarns, wherein each of the fiber yarns comprises three or more single fibers having an average fiber diameter of 25 μm or larger, and the fiber yarns satisfies the following formula:
[No. of single fibers per fiber yarn]×[average fiber diameter (μm)]≤1700.
